It's a...Reverse Harem
What does it mean to be an Iris girl?
Does it mean following instructions and respecting the authority of your team? Or does it mean taking risks?
The latter – I’m finding – is something I’m good at. When the guys send me to Ms. Enders’ Etiquette Camp for Refined Young Ladies, I know that I need to master the game and play the part of the respectable socialite. We need to find the answer to this question: What is causing the girls to commit suicide? I knew there would be danger here, and if I don’t watch my back, I could find myself in a whole lot of trouble.

Harlow is settling into her new life. She's still learning what all it means to be involved in Iris. There's still a lot she doesn't know but the time for a gentle introduction passes when a new job comes up. A job that hits close to home for some of the team. What happens when Harlow is off on her own without the guys with her every step of the way? What happens when the secrets she's been keeping come out in the open?
I'm so in love with this series. I love the characters, both individually and as a group. They mesh so well together. We are slowly building the relationships, though things really do start to pick up in this book. Harlow is starting to feel more involved in the team. Especially since she's front and center on their new mission. There's still a lot of trust that needs to be earned and that's normal for someone being brought into a group who's been together for so long.
While this book does have a mission that it's centered around, it's not the whole focus of the book. I actually like that. It's not inconsequential enough that we don't care or feel like we need more, but it's not the entire book either. Harlow, the guys, and their new life/relationship still take center stage. I do love how we got to see a real fierce side of Harlow. She's growing into her own and really stepping up. The guys may still be keeping things from her but she doesn't let them hold out and push her around when it comes to the really important things. We also still have some lingering issues from the first book. We learn a little bit more about Grayson and why the boys seem to hate him so much.
I was just as enthralled by this book as I was the first one. I may or may not have been sneaking in some reading while I was at work, it was just that good. Definitely a series that I recommend you read, it's very quickly becoming one of my favorites.
