It's a...Reverse Harem
The search for their fifth will bring them more than they bargained for.
A part of the ancient magical Order of the Akasha, four male witches await their last remaining piece... only to be stunned when a badass descendant of a voodoo priestess shows up. All five-foot-feisty of her turns their world on edge, making them rethink everything they thought they knew about enforcing the one rule in their magical world--harm none.
Despite the supernatural forces binding them together, there's one slight problem--there's never been a female Enforcer before. Sexy or not, the guys have sworn their allegiance to a tradition that calls her very presence unnatural. Their pull, though, doesn't care about 'never-beens' or 'what-ifs'.
Norah has been living a lonely but peaceful life running her Voodoo shop in New Orleans. Until one day she can no longer resist the pull that's drawing her away from home. Her late granny taught her many things, one of which was to always trust your gut. So off she goes to try and figure out what this "pull" is. She's taken to the doorstep of four sexy as sin college guys. So, now that she knows the where, she's just got to figure out the why.
I think this is a great start to this new series. Norah is feisty. She's not some helpless, abused girl who needs saving. She's alone since her grandma died, yes but she's happy. Being a witch has made her accustomed to being alone. So she's not at all happy when she starts learning about why this pull dragged her all the way to their doorstep. They aren't all that happy about it either. Well, not all of them. Now you guys know I love a bad boy asshole but Travis hasn't got me yet. I know he's got issues and I'm not hating on him but I'm not rooting for him yet either. The other three, yum. I love sweet Liam, intense Randy and fun Gabe. It's the perfect balance really.
The magical pull isn't the only thing we have going on in this series though. Someone is after Norah. She's never used her magic in anything but a peaceful way so she's got to learn to defend herself. They have to figure out what is going on and who is after them.
If you have read E.M.'s other two RH series, Ravana serials and Chronicles of Cass, then you are used to a slow build on the relationships. Not with this series. We kick up the heat and pretty durn fast. Hello hotness!!
So yea, I really enjoyed this first book in this new series and I'm looking forward to where we are going next.
