It's a...Reverse Harem
The final book in the Last Hope Series...
It is the end of days...
Aspen has fought, borrowed, and stolen to help the Sisterhood. Though she never forgot where she came from, she never saw where she was going…until now. Now she’s one of them and her guys are with her again. Finally on the right path, they still have to forgive each other if they want to take the fight right to the Darkness.
They lost her once…
Reed, Alexander, Stone, Jamie and Gage suffered for a split-second lapse in judgment, and a momentary loss of faith. They’ve paid for that choice a thousand times over, and together they found a way back to their Sister—their Aspen. Now they will do whatever they have to earn her forgiveness, save the world, and her life—and not necessarily in that order. The fate of the world rests upon her shoulders, and their hearts.
Born to be a Sister but forced to live as a human, Aspen has always felt out of place. Now she finds herself back where she was always supposed to be. Can she get over the betrayal of her five men? Can they forgive her? Will any of it really matter when the end is upon them?
This is the last book in the Last Hope series so we get just what we think we will. The big battle. In order to understand how to win, we have to backtrack and understand all that has happened. We finally get to learn what happened to Aspen and her guards. We learn how every choice can alter things, no matter how big or small that choice is. We learn how far people will go when they truly love someone and what sacrifices people will make.
As with every book in the Last Hope series, Future Be Damned will take you through the emotional ringer. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Rebecca is an expert at pulling your emotions out and making you feel everything the characters are. Boy do these characters feel. I never expected the turns this story would take and the place where we ended up. It was absolutely amazing to me to see how she brought all the books together in the end. I'm really going to miss this series but I don't think it could have ended in a more perfect way.
