It's a...Reverse Harem
An embrace can offer comfort… Amber Delacroix Chen reunited with her husbands only to have to send them off to war. Now a doctor, she works tirelessly to patch up the wounded to send them back to the front lines while protecting the people at the heart of the Chen Empire. She delivers babies, tends to the injured, the lost, and even her fellow physicians, everyone—except herself. Thankfully, she has her very own Z Warriors who will lay down their lives to protect her. After years of separation, anxiety, and pain, she is finally herself and the love she and her husbands share sustains her. In so many ways, Amber’s life is perfect, if only her husbands were with her. An embrace can offer hope… For their part, Amari, Shane, and Hunter are in the thick of the war with Evander. It’s a fight to save their planet, their empire, their way of life…and their wife. Time together is a precious commodity and fleeting seconds of passion must sustain them. The tide is rising and there is nothing they won’t do to win this war…but when enemies old and new come for them, there is nothing the Chens won’t do to save each other. Their embrace can save them all…

Man, what an emotional ride this book took us on. In the last book, we learned that the Chen's weren't at all what we thought and we had a great reunion with Amber and her husbands. Unfortunately, with their agreement to enter the war, this took them away from Amber once again. While they are off fighting Evander, Amber is settling in to running the Chen Empire, even if she doesn't realize she's doing it. She's making changes, making friends, making a difference. I love seeing her really step up and come into her own in this book. She also gets a big surprise. One that again, brings on some high emotions to run through. She has to learn that even though she is a doctor now, fighting every day to keep everyone safe, she also has to take care of herself.

There were a lot of things that happened in this book that I didn't see coming. Especially what all played out with a nightmare from the past. While a big surprise, I'm so happy with how it ended up playing out. There were also some moments that really wanted to break you. The amazing connection that Amber has with her husbands is unlike anything else out there.

This book takes us to almost the end of the war. There are only two books left in this series and while I am so heartbroken and sad to know we are coming to an end, I'm super excited to read the next two books. We have already met the characters and already this author has stoked my interest in them. That's something she is amazingly good at, taking every single leading lady and her men and making you love them intensely. I'm going to miss this series so much when it ends.
