Grim, (Death's Apprentice)
Tiegan Clyne & Scarlett Snow
Goodreads/a>, Amazon
It's a...Reverse Harem
— DEAD GIRL WALKING. — What could be worse than getting hit by a bus? Waking up as Death’s new apprentice, that’s what. I already know how crazy that sounds. For 18 years, I was able to see the dead, so I pretty much managed to deal with a lot of unusual things in the world. I even learned to accept my strange, if not slightly annoying, ”I see dead people” ability. But the one thing that tipped me over the edge? I can’t drink coffee in the afterlife. Not even a sip. I know what you’re thinking. Surely things can’t get any worse than that? Well... I also have a rival apprentice who despises me, a quarterback ghost who won’t leave me the hell alone, a sexy angel determined to take me out on a date, and a silly little crush on my new boss. Yeah, you read that last part right. I have an aimless crush on the Grim Reaper, and no, he isn’t a hooded skeleton clutching a scythe. He’s a gorgeous man in a tailor-made suit and every word he utters fills me with desire...just like the others do, despite my best efforts to resist them. Unfortunately, a pack of demons are now interfering with the human world, and Death has tasked me with putting an end to them. At least, that’s what I tell myself, as I quite possibly make the worst decisions of my entire life... Death’s Apprentice is a Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy. This series is a slow-burn romance filled with an extreme amount of dark humor, sarcasm, mystery, and a talking dog who is totally judging Sacha’s bad decisions in life. Buckle up, and get ready to join Sacha on her soul-reaping journey...and perhaps a little detour into Hell.

This was such an interesting read.

I didn't read the blurb so I wasn't sure what to expect when I started.
Was just going by the series title.
But it was so much more than that.

Sacha is dead.
Died a gruesome death due to her not paying attention while crossing the road to buy some carrots.
Yes, eating healthy was literally the death of her.
But that isn't the end for her.
She becomes Death's apprentice.
Though the job isn't exactly what she thought it would be.
Or why she was brought there in the first place.

I really enjoyed this book.
I thought it was super cute.
It does cover a few sensitive topics, i.e. suicide, overdosing, and just death in general.
A warning should be stated in case these may be triggers for you.

While this book states it is a reverse harem, there isn't a clear indication of who will be in the harem.
I can make a guess of who the men are, but not much was done in the intimacy department.

This ends on a cliffhanger so be prepared to be upset about that.
It isn't TOO bad of one, but still has you reeling a bit.

Overall, I'm excited to see where this will end up heading.
The characters are fun. The storyline is unique. And I just loved diving into it.
Would definitely recommend reading it.

Book Two, Cage, releases July 26th.
