Let's start with a warning in case you read reviews but not blurbs. This is a DARK CONTEMPORARY. There are several different things that could possibly trigger someone. There was no time at all that I was bothered by what I read but that's me. You know you and if you have a question about the triggers, hit me up and we can talk about them before you jump in. I'm happy to do it.

Now, on to the good stuff. Alessa Dean. This girl has had some shit happen to her in her short life. Most people don't deal with the amount of loss she has in their entire life span and she's had it all before 22. But she is strong. She is DAMN STRONG!! This girl puts on a brave face every day and does what needs to be done to get through life. Not all heros wear capes and not all heros have to do amazing things. Less is a hero for me b/c she survives. Even with all life has thrown at her she is still there, she is still kicking. I mean, come on, she's an amputee who rides a freaking motorcycle. You know she's bad ass!! I really feel like I could go on about Less all day so let's move on.

A small incident brings three members of the Wayward Kraken motorcycle club to Less's little town. They instantly take a liking to her, how could you not. When tragedy strikes Less's life once again, they offer her something she never thought she'd actually get. A way out. An escape from that small town and the evil in it. After not much thought, she takes them up on it.

Now we can't just go into this new life without having a couple hiccups can we? There is so much I really want to tell you about this book but I can't!! I don't want to ruin anything. I will say that there are some twists heading your way. Some major drama. Action and...I wouldn't really call it adventure. A definite trip though. There is heartache and pain. There is love and hope. There is strength. SO MUCH STRENGTH.

What it all boils down to is K.B. did an amazing job with this book. The passion in the words. The reality of the story. You can connect with this book on so many levels and you just fall into their world. Read it and find out for yourself.
