This is the third book in E.M. Moore's The Heights Crew series and you must read them in order. If you haven't started yet, be prepared to be sucked into a whole new world of mistrust and deceit, along with some intense romance. I'm actually a little jealous of people who haven't started this series yet. You get to experience it all for the first time and you don't have to sit and wait for these HELLACIOUS cliffhangers that E.M. is giving us!!! She is definitely rocking the cliffhanger game with this series and while I usually get overdone with cliffies, I'm ok with these. I mean, they are totally killing me, waiting to know what's going to happen next but they make total sense leading us into the next book in the series.

Ok let's talk about this book. Book two left us with Kyla being accused of murder. Now we all know she didn't have anything to do with that but we still have to go through the steps of getting her out. I think the main thing that this does is gives the guys the realization of what their life is like without Kyla. She's become ingrained in them. What it also does though is put an even bigger target on her back. Big Daddy K does not like how Johnny reacts to our girl and that can never be a good thing. Speaking of Johnny boy, this book is what I'm going to call Johnny's book. Don't get me wrong, the other guys get their time and we definitely don't feel any love loss from them. But Johnny takes the spotlight in this book for so many reasons. Now you all know I love me some bad boys. I've always been on team Johnny. Waiting for the day he realizes what a dick he is and making up for it. Well that time has come. Erin did an amazing job with Johnny. I don't think anyone can come away from this book and not be head over heals in love with him. We also get to see how Johnny handles the realization of what Kyla feels for the other men in her life. What she wants for them and their future. It couldn't have been written more perfectly.



So many things happen in this book and I don't want to focus on them all. I don't want to spoil anything. And if you haven’t been a fan of Johnny so far, which is totally understandable, don’t let my love for him dissuade you. This book isn’t all about him. He just has the biggest growth in this one. The other guys have their moments and like I just stated, there is so much that happens in this book. Good and bad. Like the first two books, there is no shortage of action. The book flows along at a great pace and once you start, you will not want to put it down until you get to that ending. You won't want to put it down there either but what can we do.
