Succubus Unchained, (Shackled Souls)
Heather Long
Goodreads, Amazon
It's a...Reverse Harem
I’d become a damn vampire after all. I never wanted or asked for this. What began as a one-night stand earned me a stint in prison, the attention of a shadow demon and rescue by three devastating—to my system—males along with the declaration that I was their foretold something... Yeah. No. To win this war and regain my freedom I had to give up part of who I am and become something other. Now, Maddox calls me his mate, Fin labels me his lady, Alfred has declared I’m to be his queen. But I’m with Rogue on this one. I’m trouble and they have no idea what I’m going to do. *Please note this is a paranormal prison reverse harem and will feature aggressively snarky characters, a bit of twisted humor and a lot of passion. So come join an amazing group of authors in Nightmare Penitentiary, a place you’ll never want to escape from. The author suggests you should always read the forward in her books. This is book 2 in the Shackled Souls trilogy, it is highly recommended that you read book 1 first.

This is the second book in the Shackled Souls trilogy and I'm not going to lie. I loved this book so much more than the first book in the series. That's not to say I didn't enjoy the first book. I did. The first book focused more on the transition for Fiona. Totally important aspects of the story. Book two gives us a little more of the actual relationship building though. We get to see a side of the characters we didn't in the first book. We get to understand them a little better and so does Fiona.

We have some action in this book too. We have more of the prophecy being spoken of but it's not a full aspect of the book just yet. We know a little more about what it means for them but there's still some unknown. Things are definitely set into motion though and things are starting to happen. We also get more sexy times too.

So normally I try to type up my review shortly after I finish reading b/c I read so much I tend to forget things. With my life being as crazy as it is right now, I didn't do that with this book. I'm writing this bout two weeks after reading, ahhh. So I had to go back and look at my messages with Heather and see what I was feeling. Y'all, it's hilarious rereading those messages. It was such an emotional roller coaster. I can't tell you exactly what I said for spoiler reasons but one minute I'm all Hell  yea, that was awesome that that happened. Then I was all she had me so emotional with the way this happened. And then that ending. Aaaarrghh!!!! I just can't even. I'm so so ready for book three.
