Book One 9/25
Book Two 10/2
Book Three 10/9
This is a three part series and the books are releasing one week apart. So you won't have to wait long to finish this wonderful story. I was lucky enough to have already read them all so here's a little about them.
Alice and her family left on a wagon train. They never made it to the end. Losing her family and facing a fate no woman wants, she decides to sneak away in the night. The mountains may be scary, with the wild animals and stories of natives, but it's better than the fate she knows awaits her if she stays.
In Book One, Alice begins her journey. When she comes across a native, she's not sure what to do. She's been warned from a young age to be scared. She feels a connection to Mahpee though. Even though he knows he shouldn't, he feels a connection to her as well. We get to spend some time with them exploring each other in the wilderness.
Eventually, Alice's situation escalates to a point where she needs not only Mahpee to protect her but Hinto and Yas as well. These three Chochmi warriors, all different, all strong, take on the responsibility of keeping this pale face woman safe.
I don't want to give too much away. I really enjoyed this series and fell in love with the characters. It's been a while since I've read a western or Native American type of book. It was good to step into something different for a while.
I really enjoyed the flow of this series as well. We don't just jump right into her being with three men. We gradually make it to all of them. So they each get their own time with her and their own, special build up into a relationship. Yes, there is some jealousy, but it's all handled and not a problem. Even with them slowly building into a harem, we get some intense sexy times that Lily is known for delivering.
This is also told from multiple POV so we get a look inside of how everyone is feeling. I really enjoy books with multiple POV, especially when there are multiple men involved.
Overall I have no complaints at all about this little series. It gave me everything I was looking for. If it sounds like something you would like then you should definitely give it a shot.
