It's a...Reverse Harem
One minute, I’m just an innocent, brave, beautiful young woman chasing down an evil vampire. The next, three sexy Fae jerks abduct me from my life of slaying vamps and saving puppies.
Okay, okay. I’m not particularly innocent. The beautiful part is really dependent on the lighting. And some people say ‘brave’, some people say ‘stupid’. Whatcha gonna do? Everybody’s got haters, even the toughest Hunter in Washington, D.C.
I’ve got amnesia, and my memories all begin five years ago. So I don’t remember these cocky Fae princes, with the smoldering eyes and painfully good looks.
But they definitely remember me. They say I’m the true heir to the throne. But these sexy jerks are hiding some kind of secret from me. There’s trouble back in Faerieland (They hate it when I say that).
Someone stole my tiara right off my head, erased my memories and shoved me through the portal to your world. And it’s time for me to find out why, with these powerful Fae males by my side—no matter how unhappy we are to be stuck together.
Where do I even start with this book?
When I picked this book up, I wasn't sure what to expect.
I hadn't read the blurb, reviews, anything about it. It was a complete mystery to me.
And a surprise one at that.
This isn't like other fae books I've read. Not in the traditional sense.
Alisa wakes up one day to find herself in the woods with no recollection of who she is or where she comes from.
All she has on her is a note with her name stating that she has no friends and that she is good with a sword.
Somehow she is able to manage within the world and carves out a life for herself as a Hunter.
Five years pass and her world is once more turned on its side.
This time with three beautiful strangers claiming she is a princess in the Fae world.
Curiosity peeked, and desperate to learn of her past, she agrees to go back with them.
But things aren't has sunshine and roses as she had hoped for things to be.
This story is told from multiple points of view. As well as getting a glimpse into the past that Alisa has no clue about.
We obviously have Alisa, the female lead character.
And Azrael, Duncan, and Tiron.
There is a fourth character that I'm low-key cheering for, but I have feeling he is just a bad guy. Even if in my heart of hearts, I hope that turns out to be untrue. LOL
The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger and I'm chomping at the bit to learn what will happen next.
It was just getting to the good parts when the last chapter ended.
I would classify this as a slow burn reverse harem.
There is a sexy scene, but it happens at the end, and with only one of the male characters.
Intentions have been made known, but nothing definitive. At least not clearly with all of them.
I think most of that is due to the uncertainty of Alisa and what her past contains.
Everyone in the Fae world has formed an opinion of her based on what she was like before, but she doesn't believe what they say of her. Doesn't believe she could change so drastically without her memories. We shall see once those are brought back to her.
