It's a...Reverse Harem
Keeping my distance to avoid getting emotionally involved, failed.
Remember that game of car-crew tug-of-war? Well, the rope snapped, leaving me alone in the center, unable to reach either dangling end.
The tension force in the rope and the resistance between the crews? That was my fault.
There is only one solution for fixing things — a modification to the plan that got us in this mess to begin with. I need to distance myself and do what I should have done the day I was forced into the job:
Burnout.
Circumstances initiated the challenge. Grit and determination filled the gas tank. I opened the throttle wide… and lost. But the daughter of the late automotive guru, Troy Delancey, does not give up just because she tasted defeat in the first couple of races.
The time has come to stage a match with my own set of rules and show these crews how to race — and win — like a girl.
This final flag drop is my only remaining hope.

Crash & Burn
Crash & Burn is the third and final book in the Burnout series. What an ending it was. This has been one of my favorite series this year and this final book was a great ending. I don't want to give anything away so this will be a bit difficult to write. I can say that we FINALLY get all the answers we have been waiting on. The way they play out, well you just have to read it.
After the last book, the group wasn't in the best of places. Secrets and lies had come out. So we start off having to build back what was lost. This gives us the chance to learn some more about the characters and their pasts. Crow. Oh Crow. Of course this also gave us a bit to be a bit mad at some of the group too. At least, I was. No calling names but he did make up for it in the end.
We got to meet some other characters in this book too and I have to say, I fell in LOVE with one of them.
Trying to keep it spoiler free and on the short side, this book was full of action, suspense, danger, heartbreak, love, intense damage (physical and emotional) and a lot of answers.
You've already been warned about that one sexy times scene too but let me tell you, IT WAS HOT! Absolutely perfect for these characters.
So all in all, this has been a great series that I have truly loved. I'm sad to see it go but it was a fantastic end and I hope we get to see more from this world in the future.
