It's a...Reverse Harem
Sawyer Matthews is a retired and presumed-dead assassin. Ripped from her life of shadows and secrets, she’s decided to gamble it all and accept a new chapter in her life—one that may lead to a brighter future.
With her first case over and budding relationships with some of her teammates, Sawyer finds herself feeling more secure. Sawyer’s found a place on the team, and wants to keep it, no matter the struggles that come from it.
It should have been a standard, mundane trip to New York, and the base of operations for the IMPO and the WMC. Conflict ensues when political intrigue, hot tempers, and old grudges land the team in trouble with those who would see Sawyer fail.
The team will need to fight to stay together.
Or die trying.

"Your body doesn't need to be healed Wolf. Your heart does.
That is why I will not let you leave.
I will not see you leave my home carrying the poison
I will not see you leave my home carrying the poison
the Druids you once knew put there.
I will not see you feel the urge to kill the
next one on sight just because she was born. You must heal."
Third installment in Sawyer's journey and we've come so far from the Sawyer who couldn't open her heart and let go off all the guilt riding on her shoulders. Don't get me wrong Sawyer is far from healed and whole but she working on it. I feel like Kristen's books are competing to see who I love the most because I'm so guilty admitting with this addition to the series it has becoming my most favorite, beating my first true love, Kingston Pride. In fact this is my favorite book I've read of hers.
The team is feeling confident about their status as a team after their success in Texas. They take a business trip to New York feeling like it was just the normal check in. They find that while on the surface the Agency is happy about the progress Sawyer is making, some still distrust Sawyer and want her gone. They get cornered into taking a dangerous trip. Everything is on the line from the possibility of Sawyer being ripped from the team, innocent lives and of course their own. OF COURSE!! Because why would Banet allow us a book without threat of lives and LIMBS!!! Ya'll she maybe did it again!
This is a seriously well rounded book action of all sorts to be had. The relationships are progressing but as always two steps forward and five back. But I like all are going at their own pace as needed for the individuals. I can't say much else without spoiling it but so much is happening, and I just can't say enough about all the plot turns and progress this book makes. I'm ok with a couple steps forward and a dozen back; just as long as there IS progress. I had all the feels and can't wait for the next heart wrenching addition. Perfection.
