It's a...Reverse Harem
For Lera, training has never been so hard. With the males’ power roaring in her veins and River’s cold demand that she master the magic before the third trial, something has to give. Worse still, River is keeping something from her. Something about his past and Lunos’s future.
For River and Coal, the past must stay buried. Though one male’s nightmare sits on a throne and the other’s hides in his soul, they are equally unprepared for Lera’s startling determination to undress the truth.
But when Mors’s Emperor Jawrar makes a play for Lunos, neither Lera’s fledgling magic nor the males’ old wounds can remain untouched—not if their world is to survive.
This series just keeps getting better. The men have centuries on Lera yet they have so much growing up to do. River needs to find a way out from his walls, Coal needs to find ways to heal his soul from the past, Tye has a good ole fashion "needs to pull head out of ass"-syndrome and Shade.. well sorry I clearly have a favorite here because I find fault in nothing he does. Except all the bed hogging, that just isn't cool.
So Lera is still trying to learn how to control her magic and there is plenty of plot development there. The Quint is trying to teach Lera how to use her magic without literally burning the world down, because they soon will be facing their third trial. There is also plenty of movement in the relationship department, I was actually a bit surprised by the next development but happily so. Lera is starting to get over her second guessing herself, the questioning on if she belongs with the others. I am a fan of confident powerful women taking what so obviously belongs to them. 😍 I won't say anything else except, I'm really loving this series it takes me by surprise a lot and the good kind. Enjoy!
