It's a...Reverse Harem
Jen Johnson loved to read about supernatural creatures. She'd always dreamed of climbing into the pages of her books to become a vampire or werewolf. Imagine her surprise when she almost dies falling down the steps of the courthouse, only to save herself by turning into a flying dragon.
It's a dream come true, right?
Alexander, leader of all of the Fae—actually, they prefer Dannan, thank you—and his cousin Roan try to help her acclimate to her new life, but it isn't until she meets Doryu, a gorgeous Sárkány shifter that things start to get interesting.
And what is going on in the town? Some of those people aren’t what they seem. If Jen sticks her nose where it doesn't belong, maybe she'll get some answers the Unseen world needs. And maybe her nosiness will only get her heartache.
In the third book of The Unseen series, we are getting some new characters.
However, this story does play off of the first two and you will see the connection.
Dannan are what we usually consider "fae."
We have Jen who is our main female character.
A woman who loves everything supernatural and paranormal.
Always dreaming she could be sucked into the pages of her books.
Imagine her surprise when a fall that should have killed her, or at the very least significantly injured her, she turns into a dragon!
In walks the handsome stranger, who covers for Jen, and soon helps her in other ways.
After bringing Alexander to her, they take Jen away to help her acclimate to her new world.
A recently activated shifter and all that brings with it.
There are some aspects of the book that deter you a bit, at least for me.
The characters are fantastic.
However, I dislike how Jen focuses on her weight a bit much.
It detracts from her overall appeal.
Roan is the stranger who helps Jen at the courthouse and introduces her to Alexander.
We don't see much of him, but he does play an important role.
Alexander is your typical cold and clinical type man.
He has several cringe worthy moments, but Jen likes him.
Finally we have Doryu.
He is my favorite.
They have a connection, can talk easily to one another, and just seem to be compatible.
I had a hard time getting into the story in the beginning.
Eventually it picked up, and I enjoyed it.
It is a promising story and I like the concept behind the series.
I would recommend it.
