Cardinal Caged, (The Cardinal)
Mia Smantz
Goodreads/a>, Amazon
It's a...Reverse Harem

Callie is temporarily with the Cardinals while she tries to figure out what it is that she wants from life. Her childhood was dictated and decided without her, and now she has to learn who she is as a person without someone telling her what to do. On top of that, her captor is still out there, running free and--if she knows him like she thinks she does--he won't be happy until he has killed her, or worse. It's a good thing that she has so many Delta people looking out for her.

THE CARDINAL SERIES:

The Red Cardinal (Coming Soon)

I have been looking forward to Cardinal Caged ever since I finished Cardinal Bird.  Let me tell you, I was not disappointed.  I honestly think that this could be a top 5 favorite ever series.  Yeah that good.  Mia has everything with this series that I look for in a good book.  The female lead is funny, strong, smart, witty, and she grows as a character.  The guys, yeah I freaking adore each and every one.  The way that they argue, their banter back and forth, how freaking protective that they are.  The plot, the delivery, the pace, the writing style are all on point.  Mia has found a fan for life.

In Cardinal Caged,  Callie is with the group The Cardinals.  An all female team.  She is trying to figure out which direction she wants to go in her life.  Finally able to be making her own decisions.  She can figure out what she likes and does not like.  Since she was kidnapped when she was young she has missed out on a lot of things.  She is not very social, but is learning.  There are two other teams vying for her.  The Tate and Emmerson teams.  She counts each of them as her friends.  They have protected her, and offered her friendship where she has not known kindness before.  But what if they want more?  And what is she to do when the man that kidnapped her still wants her dead, and will stop at nothing to make sure that happens?

I will admit I devoured this second book just as fast as I did the first one.  The pace of the book is fast, and yet we get a very descriptive picture.  Callie is just as inquisitive, honest, funny and strong as she was in the first.  She is getting stronger, and finding her voice.  We actually get to see glimpses of her past with her first kidnapper and then her second.  The more I find out about her, the more I love her. The guys, omg, the guys!! There are so many to name, and honestly I want her with them all.  Each and every one has won my heart.  They are protective, alpha, and freaking have me rolling all the damn time.  The banter between them all, and just their personalities makes me happy.  The Cardinals, this all girl team is freaking the bomb!! The girls are hilarious, tough and don't need a man on their team.  They have taken Callie in and deemed her one of them.  The guys are going to have their hands full if they want to take Callie away.

Overall, this was so freaking awesome, and I would highly recommend reading this series!!!
