So happy to have finally read the second book in this awesome duet! I’ve said it before this duet isn't for everyone. It is a little dark and twisty with some taboo subjects, but for me? It is the cat’s meow, ying to my yang the butter on my toast. I think one of the biggest things I loved about this book and its predecessor is the fact that it is so different. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of great well written books that surround similar "bones" of other books. I just found this duet refreshingly new and that will always impress me as long as the different flows well.
** SPOILERS DON'T READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST BOOK Lark**
So after getting out of sex dungeon of hell and pleasure Lark is dealing with some anxiety, PTSD, and oh yea that two lined surprise that she discovered at the very end of Lark when Apollo and Marcus come to get Lark out of Robert's reach.She has a journey ahead of her to deal with feelings and give them a healthy sorting out. While doing this and dealing with a truckload of complications and her mens' feelings especially her bestie's, they are being hunted by Apollo's father Robert who is getting crazier by the day.
It is time for Lark to get back to her dildo beaning self and claim what is hers' and right in front of her. Time to have Robert and all those who seek to harm Lark and her men gone. Put that butt plug in and eat your cake too Baby!!
