Friends With The Monsters

It's a...Reverse Harem
Gather round close, for I have a secret to tell. Late at night, while everyone is sleeping, dreaming of white knights and fairytales. I’m making friends with the monsters. They call to me, like finds like, right? My biggest secret, I’m the scariest monster I know. I think I’m the bad guy. MFMM Reverse Harem novel with adult themes not recommended for those under 18.

This is a book that has been sitting on my TBR list since I saw the cover reveal.
It's just taken me this long to finally dive into the story.
Which I'm glad I did.
It's unlike anything I've ever read before.

Damiana is our lead heroine.
Though she isn't exactly what you would call your everyday heroine.
She's always been able to see the monsters under her bed, metaphorically speaking.
She's different, but doesn't understand why.
Not until she's older and a few certain demons make themselves known to her.
Grim. Calix. Gunnar.
Each different in their own respects.
They had made a promise to stay away.
Until Gunnar breaks the treaty.
Then they all descend upon her.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect going into this book.
I hadn't read the synopsis, not really. Didn't look at other reviews.
Just dived right into it.
And it was so interesting.
This isn't like anything I've ever read before.
That makes me so happy.
I'm a bit of a paranormal weirdo. I listen to podcasts about scariest things found in....you fill in the blank.
So this book was definitely right up my alley.
Though it is more of a happy scary than a scary scary. If that makes any sense LOL

Our characters are all monsters, well for the most part.
Not exactly sure what Damiana is.
But the monsters are drawn to her.

This is definitely a get into bed quick kind of story.
Some serious hot bedroom scenes.
And the reverse harem aspect of it is different.
The guys are originally going to make her choose.
They will spend time with her and then at the end, she will have to decide.
However, by the end they know that will not be the case.
She is too attached to all three of them for that to ever be the case.
As she had stated to them when they came up with their silly plan.

Overall, this is a fantastic read and I can't wait to jump into the second one.
I think this is just a duology so we don't have to worry about the series leaving us hanging.
I would definitely recommend this to others to read.
