It's a...Reverse Harem
My husband killed me.
Instead of spending my immortal Afterlife pissed off and angry, I moved on. I became someone.
Sure, that someone was a demon with the highest track record of reform, AKA punishment, in Hell. But who’s bragging?
I’m right on my way to retirement behind the pearly gates. Everything was going fine . . . until the Risk Witches saw a terrible vision.
Three men. Each scarred in their own way, born with powers that haven’t been seen in eons.
Upper Management sent the best to correct their path. Angels. Poltergeists. Nothing worked.
These men were too stubborn. Too bad. Too untamed...
So they sent me.
Roman. Ezra. Dorian.
Combined, they have enough power to end the world—and they will.
Unless I find a way to stop them first.
Breaking people is my job. But this time...my job might break me.
Author's Note: This is an adult paranormal romance series with multiple love interests and some dark elements. If you don't like strong but flawed women and alphahole heroes that need to learn a thing or two about boundaries--this book is not for you. If you love works by Tate James, Ivy Asher, Raven Kennedy, Joely Sue Burkhart, and CM Stunich, then dive right in to the Afterlife. It'll be one hell of a ride.
This is a book that deals with death, specifically domestic abuse.
It also deals with alcohol abuse
If either of these are a trigger for you, please be warned that this might not be the book for you.
Fury, our female lead in the story, didn't have the best life when she was a human.
But she wasn't going to let that coat her afterlife.
Sure, she was angry, but she used that anger to full her in her work.
She was given a chance to make a difference in humans who would be given a second-chance on Earth after undergoing a rehabilitation.
Fury's methods are not conventional, but they get the results Upper Management wants.
Because of her success, Fury is the one they want to help solve an issue that's been happening on Earth, ones that not even the Angels have been successful on.
Yet, things don't turn out the way that they are supposed to.
Fury has three members of her harem.
Each of them her mate.
She is their second-chance mate-meaning they had mates prior to meeting her, but unfortunate events led to them perishing.
Roman is a werewolf and the youngest of the mates. He is over-protective and borderline controlling.
Dorian is a fae. The oldest of the three men. He is cold and aloof due to being in existence for such a long period of time.
Ezra is a vampire. He is the one that is most open about what he wants from Fury.
Things are complicated from the beginning and none of them no exactly what needs to be done.
This story is told mostly from Fury's point of view.
However, we do get snip bits from each of the men as well.
There is a lot of tension between the couples, and a steamy scene between Fury and one of the men.
Not telling who though. LOL
Overall, great first book of a new series.
I'm intrigued to see what will happen next.
Especially because of how this book ends.
It's not a throw your book cliffhanger, but it does leave you guessing as to what will happen next.
Would definitely recommend to others to read.
Book Two, White Raven, will release on July 1st.
