It's a...Reverse Harem
Listen up, and listen good— I’ll only say this shit once!
Two Tricks does not work with MC gangs, and that’s final. Period. The end.
No. No, you don’t get to ask why. Tricks runs the West Coast smuggling ring, so if you want anything to come and go, you play by the rules. You don’t like it? Well, then you’re gonna get a visit from me.
Who am I? I’m Dax, his enforcer, and don’t let my height or the pink hair fool you. I’ll take your ass down.
Now, can someone explain to me why the hell the Phantom Saints MC gang sent someone to try and talk me into getting Tricks to work with them? Or maybe how those same assholes ended up kidnapping me?
You can bet your ass, as soon as I get the chance, I will make them regret ever having me as a ‘house guest’, even if they are sexy as sin. No one uses me and gets away with it!
Book 1 of the Hidden Empire series
This is a reverse harem, why choose romance where the leading lady doesn't have to choose who she loves or how many. Book contains 18+ content—swearing, sexual situations, and aggressive assertive alpha-hole men.
One thing I will say is that the synopsis didn't really draw me in, but I'm not one to usually read them anyways so I decided to go ahead and give it a try.
It took me a bit to get into it, but I ended up enjoying it.
She is his right hand man.
And isn't afraid to get her hands dirty in order to protect those she considers family.
When she is kidnapped by a MC gang thinking it will sway Two Tricks into doing business with them, things begin to unravel for the MC gang as well as the Hidden Empire.
With no other choice, Dax says Two Tricks will help the Phantom Saints as long as they agree to be his army.
Though it took until the end for it to be revealed.
It wasn't hard to figure out.
At least in my opinion it wasn't.
But I did like seeing how it was executed.
It wasn't a slow build up or anything.
Just a bomb dropped after a minor killing spree.
Epic.
Some of it stems from the way she grew up, but the majority of it is because of the death of her twin brother.
She only has two that she considers close: Harper and Wes.
Wes is her roommate, best friend, and tech genius. The one who is always in her ear when doing her enforcer stuff.
Harper is the one person from her life before it went into chaos. The one person she wants to keep pure from the violent filled life she lives.
Until five men from the Phantom Saints come into the picture.
Something about them immediately draws Dax to them, but she is leery of anyone associating with motorcycle gangs.
Yet something about them is different than other men she's met in that capacity.
There are some steamy scenes, but it is only with two men within the harem.
She has some innuendos with a couple others.
But she hasn't decided on a full blown relationship with all six just yet.
However, it has been discussed.
Of course, no good series would be complete without a cliffhanger.
Luckily, we don't have to wait too terribly long for the next book.
Book two, Three Tricks, releases November 11th, 2021.
