Fate Hollow Academy Term 1-3, (Fate Hollow Academy)
Lyra Winters
It's a...Reverse Harem
Welcome to Fate Hollow Academy, where supernaturals blessed by the Fates cultivate their manifested powers and master ancient magic. Fate Hollow is the academy of the elite, where supernatural beings with special magic train for war against humans. A big-hearted, naïve arctic fox shifter like me couldn’t have prepared for the treachery lurking within the walls of the academy. Students were going missing or turning up dead on campus and rumors circulated about humans infiltrating academy grounds. Seeds of fear bloomed within the student body. To make matters worse, the mate that rejected me was hellbent on painting a bright red target on my back with the help of his new girlfriend. Against all odds, I found refuge with seven irresistible supernatural men, each one more different from the last. Would the bond of my mates be enough to manifest my hidden power? Without it, I was vulnerable. And with a dragon cult attempting to wage war on humans, I had no choice but to fight. Fate Hollow Academy Term 1 is book one of four in the Fate Hollow Academy Series. It is a paranormal why-choose romance with all characters over the age of twenty-one. It contains mature subject matter that may not be suitable for all readers. There is no MM within the series, and book one ends in a small cliffhanger.

Since I haven't done the reviews for this yet on the blog, I'm going to do the first three books in one.

I was immediately sucked into this book.
There was just something about the characters, the world building, and the plot that lured me in and I just needed to know what happened next.
I was said to find out at the time it was the only book out in the series.
Luckily, we didn't have to wait long for book two.

Wren is an arctic fox shifter. The last of her kind.
She lives among arctic wolves with her aunt after the tragic passing of her parents when she was younger.
However, because of what she is, she isn't accepted easily into the fold.
She is an outcast.
There is only one person she truly trusts, and he is not of their kind at all.
After being rejected by her mate, and returning the rejection, she gets her mark to join Fate Hollow Academy.
A prestigious school for supernaturals to learn about their magic and train for war against humans.
It is at this school she learns about her multiple mates and herself.

Wren has several mates.
Damien-a shadow demon.
Alister-a vampire.
Thorn-a winter Fae prince.
Lachlan-a werewolf.
Rhett-an incubus.
Kian- a necromancer warlock.
Rowan- a firedrake dragon.
She figures out who her mates are pretty quickly, but not in the normal sense.
She is attracted to the men above, but it takes a bit for their mate bonds to snap into place.
This is very much a slow burn romance.
These men are all very different in personality, image, and manners.
You have the shy type, brooding, super dangerous, and everything in between.

I couldn't tell you what it was exactly that drew me into this book, but whatever it was, it hooked me good.

I would highly recommend giving it a try.
You will not be disappointed.

Get ready to go on an emotional roller coaster.

Things ended pretty rocky for Wren in book one.
She uncovered some things that were not for the faint of heart and was thrust headfirst into the battle raging with the humans.
Now she must prepare to help her mates rally allies in order to defeat not only the humans, but also the dragons.
She is a commodity that they will stop at nothing to have, and she will have to prepare herself for such.

Wren is slowly easy into life at Fate Hollow Academy.
She's lucky she has such amazing mates and friends to call upon at such dire times.
But it seems being close to her comes at a price.
She is the last of her kind and that means something to those who are creating the super humans.
As well as the dragons.
However, she knows that things will only get worse before they get better.
As long as her mates are by her side, she can get through anything.

Wren is making her way through her mate bonds.
They are coming into play at just the right time.
Though some are frustrated theirs haven't activated, they know in their hearts they are meant to be.
We get to meet some of the mates' families and the reaction to meeting Wren.
We also get information about their pasts and why they are the way they are.

However, with happiness comes tragedy.
And an epic cliffhanger.

If you haven't checked out this series, do it now.
You will not be disappointed.

We saw a battle in book two that took a few lives, but Wren and her mates are more determined now than ever to gather allies and fight this war.
The humans have pulled back to strategize, but the dragons are coming out in full force.
They are killing those that are against them, whether supernatural or not.
It's up to Wren and her mates to keep everyone safe.

In this book, Wren finds out more about her past and her parents.
Specifically, her father.
She is focusing on her mates and the bonds she hasn't connected yet, making sure those are in place.
With that being said, like every other chapter in this book is a steamy scene.
I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, but I felt it was taking away from the plot of the story.
I'm all for love scenes, but I'm also big into the story line. I want more of what is going on outside the bedrooms.
However, we do see Wren becoming more confident in her power and using it to her advantage.

We also learn of some of what the dragons are up to and possible ways to stop them.
There are things going on that have been hidden away and are now being uncovered.
Each of Wren's mates will play an interesting part in stopping this war, I'm sure of it.

I can't wait to see what Term 4 has in store for us.
I'm not sure how many books are planned for this series, but hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer to see how all of this plays out.
Definitely would recommend.

Book Four, Fate Hollow Academy: Term 4, releases September 8th, 2022.
