Planet Athion is a multi author collaboration. Right now we have Lily Harlem, Angel Lawson and Marissa Farrar. The basic story line is that a virus decimated the female population on both Planet Athion and Tradrych. The male aliens come to earth looking for women to repopulate their races. Each author is writing in this world, but different characters and stories. You do not have to read one author's series to enjoy the others. I personally have only read Equinox so far but plan on reading the others as well.
This is the first book in Lily’s series, Equinox. After the aliens invaded Earth, Uma barely escaped being captured. After her brush with danger, she ended up sticking close to her savior. She's crew on board the Equinox. One of many ships that carry men, women and other supplies from Earth to Planet Athion. Athion being the kinder aliens that have bargained with Earth to help repopulate versus trying to steal women like Tradrych. Uma is the only female crew along with two humans (Gavyn & Mateo) and two Athions (Anki & Hurin). Being the only awake people on the ship, it's only natural for them to spend some time getting to know each other.
I really enjoyed this first book. We get a good intro into the world and a good sense of our characters. We don't get too much into their pasts yet, which is good in a way b/c we have more to look forward too. We do get to learn a lot about them though and some of why they are in their chosen line of work. Of course it's not just a quiet ride on their long journey. We have some action and danger coming at us too. Don't think Lily didn't give us some good steamy scenes as well.
Overall, I think we have a well rounded intro and a great start to the series. If you like a good alien/human steamy romance, give this a go. And don't forget to check out the other series in the Planet Athion world as well.
