It's a...Reverse Harem
This. This, right here? This was f*cking typical.
No.
I apologize. Wrong word. This, right here? This was ironic.
This was the most ironic f*cking sh*t, I'd ever experienced.
How long had I spent wanting and pleading to die?
Then, at my darkest moment... I'd found a reason for hope.
A possibility for something more than what had been a fairly depressing existence thus far.
So... the irony of being as close to death's door as I'd ever been was not lost on me.
I suppose this was my opportunity to enjoy the closest I'd ever get to death. I was in Hell.
Except hell was far different than I expected.
By day the Art Deco hotel paradise featured a fantastic martini menu and my handsome psychopathic boss.
By night it became a playground for a bloody hunt.
Broken House: A show like nothing you've ever seen!
If 'show' was defined as 'a hunt'.
Hunting of exotic creatures was fairly popular with demons because it allowed them a night to do whatever the hell they wanted with them.
The best part? My brother and I were on the menu.
My problems are growing bigger everyday as I avoid a vengeful Momon.
My boys have no idea where I am and my brother has completely checked out.
I could give into this chaos but I want to live. I didn't want to live in a tortuous cycle of pain anymore. I know. Shocking.
What I really wanted though? My boys back.
Unfortunately, there was only one man who could give me that
Is my happiness worth what it would cost me? I guess we'd see.
Warning: This dark RH fantasy romance contains dark themes. Our heroine has been through a lot and continues to go through many struggles. The book contains substance abuse, gore, violence, swearing, abuse, assault, sexual themes (+18), PTSD, and an array of other dark subject matters. If those concepts are not something you can read about, I would suggest not reading this book. The series will end with a HEA but the heroine has to go through a lot to realize she can trust the men around her. If this book appeals to you I promise that it will be an emotional roller coaster. TEARS OF THE COSMO:
Horror of your Heart
Broken House
I fell in love with this author with the Red Masques series. I freaking loved that series and did not think she could get any better, and then she does. With the Tears of the Cosmos she has captured me with Lorcan, after all that this girl has been through she still goes on. She was wanting to give up, but now, now that she has something to live for, she is going to fight. I want to fight right along with her. Also, a warning, there are some triggers in here, a lot, so if you are sensitive to such things, please be warned.
The story picks up where Horror of your Heart leaves off. Lorcan and her twin Cormic have been kidnapped and taken to Broken House. There they cannot escape. They are being hunted and tortured every single night. Meanwhile Lorcan's guys are trying to get her back, but how can they when her soul is tied to Broken House. If they do, she dies. So while they are doing all that they can to get her back to them, we meet Draven, who is a captive as well. He does all that he can to help her. But will she be able to survive long enough for her guys to rescue her or will she give in to the pain?
There is just so much to say about this series. I don't know where to start, and I don't want to give anything away. I can say that Lorcan has had enough. In the first book, she did not want to live. Now she has something to live for. I don't know if you would consider it fast or not soon enough, but how can we gage how each of us recovers from trauma? All I know is that I am cheering her on throughout her journey. How talented of this author to create a story where the reader feels so strongly. My heart was beating fast, I was scared and heartbroken for Lorcan. I cheered her on and felt like I was fighting right along with her. The guys, Dean, Cash, Adri, Desi and Rhett. I fell more in love with them. I so love overprotective alpha males, and yeah they fit that to a T. And can I just mention Draven, wow, I fell in love with him as well.
So overall, this is a dark and difficult read, but I promise you the journey will be so worth it.
