It's a...Reverse Harem
A REVERSE HAREM SHIFTER ROMANCE FROM AUTHOR JAYCE CARTER
Book one in the Omega’s Alphas series
It takes more than one alpha to bring an omega to her knees.
Claire has sworn off alphas, but when her investigation into the murder of her friend puts her in the sights of not one but three of them, her resolve is tested. Even as she craves their touch, she refuses to fall for them. They can have her body, but she’ll protect her heart at any cost.
Bryce, Joshua and Kaidan don’t want an omega of their own, but they can’t resist the mystery woman who breaks into their office. Her scent, her curves and her taste lure them, but they want more than just her body. It will take all three of them to play her at her own game and convince her to give them a chance.
As they navigate their complex relationship, Claire’s search for the killer alpha puts them all in danger. Can they come together to face the threat, or will their secrets and fears destroy everything they’ve found?
This was a different take on the Alpha/Omega relationship.
Something I haven't really seen done in books before.
Claire doesn't like Alphas and does everything in her power to stay away from them.
However, that is thrown out the window when one of her friends is murdered and an Alpha is the suspect.
Her leads led her into the office by three Alphas.
But even that is screwed when she unexpectedly goes into heat with them in the room.
This begins a relationship unlike anything Claire ever imagined.
Claire is a strong woman.
Has done unimaginable things to make sure she never became the girl she used to be.
And she uses her strength to help others who used to be in her situation.
I love having a such an independent woman, even if some of it can cause insecurities within the female.
Bryce, Joshua, and Kaidan are each Alphas in their own right, but completely different from one another.
Bryce is the leader of their little group.
He is your typical Alpha-dominant, overbearing, and always wanting to be in control.
Kaidan is your playboy type. But he has a reason behind his personality that is absolutely heartbreaking.
And Joshua. He's probably my favorite. Super sweet, understanding, and always there to lend an ear. Though this has caused him to be walked over by females in the past.
I just loved the characters.
There were a few things I questioned.
Things mentioned that we never really had answered, but they weren't a main part of the storyline so I see why it was never addressed.
I'm just the type of reader that wants every little bit of detail so I went back to make sure I hadn't missed something.
My one thing though that disappointed me is no shifting. I assumed that the characters were werewolves, with the whole Alpha, Beta, and Omega thing. However, you never actually have this confirmed. No one ever shifts. The males do growl and purr and whatnot. But never actually shift.
So that's one major thing I would have liked to have explained.
Or maybe its just how their society is ranked, like Divergent type stuff. I don't know.
Overall, it was an enjoyable book and I would recommend it.
If you love Alpha males and steamy relationships, this book is for you.
Book Two, Shared by the Alphas, releases November 26th.
