My name is NOT Seratis.
I am Queen Meha. The rightful ruler of the Kingdom of Egypt. A scientist. Human.
I was never her. Seratis, the evil Goddess of Sleep who puts men under her spell to compel them to do whatever she commands.
It was all a lie. A myth my half-brother created to make my own people hate me so he could usurp my throne.
Lucky for me, I've found a way to preserve the living like my ancestors did with the dead. To escape the war my brother has waged on me, I enter my tomb to be mummified, alive, for a hundred years. With my guard, my apprentice and my maid. Only to wake when my half-brother is long gone and forgotten.
But when we wake up, reality as we know it crashes down around us. Instead of rising after a hundred years, it was a thousand. We haven't aged a day, and we now possess inhumanly senses, strength and healing powers...among other things.
As if that is not shocking enough, now I know my half-brother isn't dead yet, and he's going to wake just like us.
This time I won't escape. I will fight. And I must find a way to win the war I've lost before. Dead or alive.
Full with Egyptian mythology, fantasy, wild romance and sizzling scenes, Seratis Daughter of the Sun makes the perfect escapism for fantasy lovers, Egyptian historical myths fans, and spicy paranormal romance readers.

I've always been a fan of mythology. It's one of those hidden hobbies I have that only makes its existence known when a new movie or book releases and I go all fangirl over it. Usually my knowledge resides in Greek mythology, but I've been expanding after reading and seeing so many other books using other mythologies as their basis. This book is one of them. Egyptian mythology is something I haven't dived too far into, even though I am a fan of pharaohs and everything revolving around them.
Queen Meha woke with her three trusted companions and faithful follower centuries after her kingdom had been destroyed, becoming something she had always fought against and lost her kingdom for.
This book has a little bit of everything for its reader.
Lust. Trust. Revenge. Betrayal. Passion. It sucks you in from page one and has you desperately turning to figure out what will happen next. Well-written with elaborate scene descriptions and a well laid out plotline. It will be interesting to see how this story continues in the next installment.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others. Will put a little warning, in case some of you don't like it, but this includes FF relations. It is a WhyChoose romance, but one of the characters in the harem is a female. So just be prepared for that.
Beverly Hills Prep Academy is one of the top prep schools in the country: it will open all kind of doors for new transfer student Ayla, especially her dream college, Yale.
And Ayla needs a win after she got her heart broken by her former bestie who kissed her only to break her heart.
The school for the rich and famous is ruled by the A-Class: the smartest and brightest students at BHPA.
The A-Class is ruled by the A-Team: three hot guys all by the name of Alex.
Alex Richmond is the A-Team leader and he rules BHPA with an iron first.
What happens when he feels rejected by Ayla?
Things get dangerously complicated when his A-Team brothers show interest in the new girl.
Ayla feels attracted and repulsed at the same time by the three alpha males and a dangerous game of love, hate and betrayal begins.
Trouble is: who knows all the rules?
Who’ll get hurt in the process?
Add an ex nerd turned hottie who would do anything to be initiated into the A-Team, a jealous and vengeful ex girlfriend and cheerleader captain and all the pressure of a really tough school and this promises to be a hell of a year for Ayla.
This is a high school, LIGHT bully romance: possible trigger warnings are mild gang violence, underage (21) drinking and drug misuse.
BEVERLY HILLS PREP ACADEMY:
The Initation ( June 11th )
The Reputation ( Coming Soon )
The Initation is the first book from Melissa Adams that I have read. I really enjoy her writing style. She writes a faster paced story that is filled with so much more than just the obvious storyline. You can tell when an author writes from the heart, and this is such an author.
In The Initation we have our female lead Ayla, who is a good and honest character. She is not loud and in your face. She has a quiet strength that sucks you in. You will be rooting for her every step of the way. After all it is not easy being the new girl at Beverly Hills Prep Academy. She went in knowing what she wanted, but what she didn't expect was Alex, Tuna and Sam. Those three rule the Academy. I will admit, at first I wasn't much liking them. They grew on me. Each and every one has a different personality, but Alex has the most that I like. He is a dominant one, that tops my list. Simply because I enjoy the more dominant alpha males. Sam and Tuna are each as equally hot. You will go back and forth between loving them and hating them.
This is a lighter Bully romance. It is a fast paced read that has a great plot with a great bad guy, or should I say girl. There is lots of drama, angst, sexy times and just really good lighter bully romance. This is book one of the series. Each book will have its own conclusion with a new character that gets their story told. For instance, book Two The Reputation will feature Alex's sister.
If you're into the bully romance like me, this is a good addition to your collection. If you are wanting a lighter bully read, also a good addition. I cannot wait to see what book two brings!!

*The Valos of Sonhadra series is the shared vision of nine sci-fi and fantasy romance authors. Each book contains their own Happy Ever Afters, and can be read in any order.
Tiffany Roberts is an author that I found last year when I started my blog. They asked me to review a book and I've been hooked ever since. This series has been a favorite, even sparked an idea for my own story idea. When a book releases, I immediately go check it out. But the ones by Tiffany Roberts have always drawn me in more. Seeing
them write in another one of my favorite genres, Reverse Harem, you can
expect my heart went into palpitations. Especially since it's not
something they have done before. And boy did they do it!
While
it isn't necessary to have read the other books in the series, I would
recommend at least reading the other book they wrote in this series. You will get a better understanding of a few things. Again though, that isn't necessary. You can read this book as a stand-alone.
This story takes place twenty years after the crash. Nina was found as a child by Orishok and then raised by him and his mate, Quinn. She
was the daughter of one of the prisoners who survived the crash of the
Concord, her mother suffering experiments like all the others. Those genetic mutations passed on to Nina and she is able to read the minds of those around her-animal, valo, and human. Because of her inability to control the thoughts she hears, she isolates herself with the city her parents have maintained. When
they leave on a trip, Nina decides she is tired of being alone and sets
out to Utopia to find herself a mate. Someone who can love her like her
parents love each other. But things don't exactly go the way she plans, and after one night, things go astray.
This was a phenomenal story. So much happens. We get a great story about a world we thought we knew. A romance with steamy intimacy scenes. And a heart-warming reunion. Everything about it sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. Even when my eyes were drifting closed and I knew I needed sleep, I pushed through to finish the book.
What I love most about these stories is the unusual romance companions. They aren't your typical aliens. All of them take on weird characteristics. In this story, they resemble animals. You can see that from the cover. And while that may seem like something you don't like, give it a shot. Trust me, you will love how this romance plays out.
This book was just super fantastic. It showed the characters internal struggles so well, as well as some of their physical ones. I liked that the guys weren't these macho men and didn't show their shortcomings. While they didn't let it slow them down, they know what their limits are. Nina as well. She has secluded herself because of her power, but she overcomes her fear and embraces who she is. Learns how to control her power and use it for greater good.
Overall, I loved this book and can see myself picking it up again and again. I highly recommend, not only this book, but the entire series. You'll be surprised by some of the authors who contributed!
Five years of nothingness.
Riley lived with pain and loss every second of every day. Her husband and child disappeared without a trace. They were gone and they were never coming back. Only emptiness resides within her now.
A mysterious man shows up at her door offering her answers she never thought she’d get. He gives her peace after all this time. Until it all turns deadly.
Dark secrets come to light. Chaos overtakes her life. Danger like she never imagined is now her reality.
She’ll find the strength within her to survive. She’ll find allies in men she never expected.
The truth will set her free … or destroy her entirely.
This book has a unique and interesting concept. It was well-written and well laid out.
I don't want to give too much away with this story, but this is what I do have to say.
This story starts off with Riley's family gone. No evidence to where they could have gone. The police believe the husband packed up the children and left on his own accord. But Riley knows he would never do such a thing. Unable to cope with the pity from friends and the sea of grief threatening to pull her under, Riley decides to do something productive with her life. She trains her body, getting stronger and learning different fighting techniques. She also learns how to handle a gun on the off chance she will find out what happened to her family. When an FBI agent shows up on her doorstep five years later, the simple encounter changes her life forever.
The author incorporated themes readers are well versed with, however, the approach is different. I've never really studied Inca mythology, but I thought it was so cool how it was brought into the plotline. There are various genres I can see this book covering and I think it will be interesting to see how it will play out.
With all this being said, I personally didn't get into the book. I struggled with one aspect of the story and it carried throughout. I found myself having a hard time making it through the entire book. It wasn't anything bad, but just a personal preference to reading.
Normally, I would have given this book only 3 stars. But since it is so well-written, so many intricate worlds, I couldn't justify just giving it 3 measly stars. 4 stars it had to be. I could very easily see this one having 5 stars if I had enjoyed it more.
This author I think will be able to capture readers easily with this book. I think many will enjoy and recommend it to others. It just wasn't for me. I can see myself recommending it if I see someone looking for something along these lines. Just not an everyday recommendation.
I fully advise other readers to make their own opinion about this book though. Read it for yourself to get an idea for it. I think it might surprise you.
