They say that true love only comes once in a lifetime.
In my case, they were wrong.
I gave my heart away three times.
To the blue eyed sensitive soul, who read poetry when he thought no one was looking.
To the green eyed jock, who made you laugh as hard as he made you cry.
And to the dark eyed boy, whose dark heart only ever beat for me.
They were my everything, until suddenly they weren’t.
They asked me to choose, but they were asking the impossible.
Now it's my turn to ask for more than what they are willing to give.
I only have three months left, and I just want to spend it with them.
Will they accept my offer, or will four hearts live the remaining days of their lives in regret of what could have been?
The letters have been sent.
All that remains is for me to wait.
Wait to see if their hearts are still mine.
Because for as long as mine beats, it will always belong to them.
BREATHE ME DUET:
Breathe Me part one ( June 22nd)
Breathe Me part two ( July 30th)
Valentina Rossi used to love three boys, still does actually. But the thing is they wanted her to choose one to love, and she couldn't. So she left. Fast forward ten years and Val just got the news that there is nothing else that the doctors could do for her and that she has just months to live. She is tired of being alone, she does not want to spend the rest of the time she has on earth, alone. So she reaches out to her three lost loves. She does not know if they will respond, or even come. After all she left them years ago. They could have moved on with their lives, be married, or just hate her. So she sends three letters, to three grown men. It is up to them if they decide to follow her on her journey of all the things she wanted to do, but has run out of time. The only thing is, they do not know that she is even sick let alone dying.
Wow guys, just wow!! So going in I knew that these two authors would write an epic story. They delivered. I felt for Valentina so very much. All that she has gone through and is going through. Her strength blew me away. She does not tell the guys that she is dying or even sick, which honestly I would want my last months to be of happiness not sadness.
The guys, yes they have moved on, with their careers not their love lives. Each one has always felt like that there was a piece missing from their lives. I so enjoyed getting to read their POV's and how each one of them felt. As always there is one that is going to be a little difficult but I will let you figure out who that is.
This is going to be such a sweet story and I know that I am going to have my heart broken. But I am trusting CR and Ivy to put it back together again.
The story jumps back and forth from present to past. Which I am not a huge fan of, it is kinda hard to keep track of, especially since the past is also different pov's. I get that they need to establish a connection and a past between the characters, but I am not a big fan of those. It is just a personal preference and does not take away anything from the story.
So in closing, Breathe Me fits the theme of the story so well. So while you sit down to read this, just keep in mind that you might be shedding a tear or two. This is definitely one that is going to tug on the heart strings. Oh and fyi, there is a pretty big cliffy at the end. Good thing we do not have long to wait for part two.
The beginning...
The beginning is always the best place to start when reflecting on what has been.
Thinking back on it, my life had been perfect.
Middle class girl in high school with a happy home life.
My life had been full of nothing but promise.
Life was good.
Everything was great.
And then my whole world went to shit. In one day.
The disease came first.
Then the dead.
It was a fight for my life every single day from the start. But I was different from all the rest.
I had heard my mother's screams while watching my sister become one with the undead. All the while feeling like there was absolutely nothing I could do to help them.
It killed me.
What’s more, it changed me.
I did everything I possibly could to survive on my own.
And then I learned how to survive with others.
By being their Queen.
Their Zombie Queen.
And by being the most feared woman they ever came in contact with.
This is a WhyChoose novel full of zombies, a sword wielding badass chick, and an army of dudes.
Recommended age 17+ due to content and language.
So I am a big fan of The Walking Dead. This book reminded me of that show so much. I literally felt like I was watching a show, about a kick a@@ female lead who was learning to survive in this new world where zombies were everywhere and what was left of humanity was evil. We follow Emerald on her day to day life on her own. Little does she know that her life is about to change when she helps two strangers. She has always tried to avoid people, since her last encounter turned out so horribly. Can she finally find a place to call home in this dead world or will she continue to be alone.
Guys I meant what I said, Zombie Queen was like watching a movie with words. Everything starts out fast from the gate. I felt so bad for Emerald. You have to be a survivor to be in this new world and she definitly is. Think Machone, from Walking Dead. She is who I would want to be if something like this happened.
The guys, wow, I enjoyed everyone. You have all of these different personalities and uses in this new world. I do not really have a favorite, I liked them all the same.
Overall, Zombie Queen was a good getaway for myself. I enjoyed the characters, the world, the pace, and the ending. I really enjoyed everything about it. These two ladies did a wonderful job in this world and I hope to visit it again one day. This is a standalone as of now the authors have stated.
We aren’t her saviors. We’re her worst nightmare.
We’ve been called vicious monsters. Brutal. Cold. Savage.
We rule the criminal underworld the same way we rule our pack—with absolute control. We take what we want, and demand complete obedience.
When she comes to us, she’s damaged. Fragile. Wounded. And oh so tempting.
Soft skin, haunted eyes, and a darkness inside her that sets us on edge.
She’s not broken… yet. But that’s what we do best.
For thirty days she belongs to us, the Baron Alphas. She’s our property, to do with as we please.
She thinks it’ll be easy. That we’ll have mercy on her. That we’ll use a gentle touch. And that she’ll be able to walk away from us at the end of the month.
She’s wrong.
Our little fawn will come to know our cruel strength. She’ll see the fierce beasts prowling inside us. Feel the hunger of the wolf’s teeth against her throat.
And she’ll beg for more.
BLACKFANG BARONS:
Fawn
Fury ( Dec. 1st )
After loosing her parents to some kind of wild wolf attack Jemma broke apart. Having no family members left she is left adrift with only a friend Bryan who later became more. Stuck with nightmares that leave her vulnerable Jemma stays with him not knowing where else to go. Little does she know her life is about to be changed by three alphas. Men who have purchased her for a debt that Bryan owes. But they make a deal with her. Submit to them for thirty days, obey their every whim and she will be rewarded. She can walk away when ever she wants, but when Draven, Kade and Bishop are done with her. Will she want to?
Okay so this is the second book I have read by Elaina Jadin and my first by Marie Robinson. I will be changing that after reading Fawn. I am completely captivated or I could say obsessed with Jemma and her story. From the first sentence to the last, I could not tear my eyes away from my kindle. This will also be going on my book shelf.
We are combining two of my favorite things shifters and mafia. These guys are not romantic, they are not soft. They are alphas all the way. They tell their fawn what to do and when to do it. They take what they want, and the thing is they make you want to be dominated by them. I do believe that my reactions to them would be just like what Jemma did. I believe that these alphas just moved themselves up to the top of my favorite men list.
Jemma, I felt for her so much. After watching her parents die savagely, not to mention living life as best as she can. She is completely captivated by the Alphas. They call to something in her, she wants the freedom or punishments that they give. She starts to crave them, and I do not blame her.
The plot itself had me intrigued, add in the well written characters, the drama, the super sexy times and that ending. There is a cliff hanger, one that fits the title of the second book Fury very well. I so cannot wait to see what happens next.

THORNBRIAR ACADEMY:
Found
Bound
Saved ( Feb. 27th)
Hailey is mated to two mates, something she does not want. But guess what? Fate decides to give her another one. She has fought too hard in her life to be free. She is a spirit shifter, something that is usually killed upon birth. As she tries to navigate having mates, she also has to keep what she is a secret. As if things were not complicated enough, her not so nice father enters the picture.
Cali has done an excellent job of continuing the series and keeping the readers interest. I really enjoyed book one, Found, and book two pretty much steps things up a notch and was just as good. Not only do we continue right off from book one, we get more information on spirit shifters. Which is pretty interesting to me. Hailey is working through having mates, and coming to terms with that, even if it is rather slowly. I really like Hailey's growth from book one. Hailey and her guys have lots of chemistry.
Overall, Bound is an excellent follow up to an interesting plot that is keeping my attention. There is a cliffhanger, but to me it sets up book three, Saved, perfectly. I would highly recommend this series.
Murdering humans is a huge no-no and comes with an off-with-your-head sentence. Doesn’t matter if you don’t remember doing the crime.
I killed a human, and no, it wasn’t on purpose, but that shit doesn’t matter to the council. I’m facing death. So, when I’m offered a deal to avoid execution, I’d be a fool not to take it, even if it means leaving the human world and urban life behind to enroll in the Nightwatch Academy – a gothic monstrosity hidden from human eyes, located way too close to the largest tear in the fabric of our reality.
It would be fun if I had any inclination of becoming a member of the Watch or supporting the shadow knights at keeping the Formorian threat at bay. But heck, the monsters beyond the mist aren’t my problem. I have personal demons to deal with.
Once I’m out, the Watch can shove it.
But one sip from the ceremonial goblet and my plans to coast are out of the window as my powers spark to life.
I’m an anomaly, one the Watch won’t be letting walk any time soon.
My only comfort is a man who prides himself on his ability to harness pain. Battle scarred and formidable, he’s my tutor, my mentor, and the object of some super saucy dreams. He’s completely off limits and my only hope of surviving my first test.
I’ll need to harness my powers fast.
There can be no distractions.
But when my fellow cadets start going missing then returning with no memory of who they used to be and my best friend is taken, turning a blind eye is no longer an option.
Allies are limited when you’re a freak. Luckily, I don’t need a cheer squad to get shit done. Whoever is responsible better watch out. I’m coming for them, and I’ll be bringing the pain.
The Vampire Academy meets Game of Thrones in this kick-ass, supernatural academy, Urban Fantasy with a slow burn Why Choose Romance.
I am not silent about how much of a fan I am of Debbie Cassidy. She is one of my unicorn authors. I have loved every single story. And just when I think she cannot come up with something better, she does. Just when I think I have found my favorite main character, she comes out with her next series, and bam. They are my favorite. It takes a lot of talent to make these stories that grip you, like what Debbie does. She always puts the meat of the story before romance, now don't get me wrong we have plenty of that, and that is a welcome change of pace. She provides us with what we are looking for when we read, a gateway into another world.
In Shadow Caster, book one of the Nightwatch Academy, we have our main female lead Indigo. She has had a pretty lonely existence with a cold father, and a mother who does whatever he says. Her father is a powerful man, or should I say vampire. She has always had to behave a certain way, even with her rebellious streak. When an incident leads her having to attend the Nightwatch Academy, vowing that as soon as she set foot in these halls she would try to find a way out. But something unexpected happens. Turns out she is not just an ordinary vamp, and here at the Academy she just had a whole new world open up to her. It is up to her if she is brave enough to take it.
Like I said, absolutely engaging, a non stop read until I finished. Indigo is such a bad a@@ character, that you cannot help but root for her. She has had a lonely hard life, and getting to see her make friends and something more with some of the guys, was a big draw. I just could not stop reading to find out who she would gravitate toward. She has a good new bestie by her side, which their relationship rocks. Minnie and Indigo together is what all best friends should be like. Indigo is very protective of her friend, and you can feel their bond. The guys, wow, where to start. I know who I want her with, which I have my hopes on a few, and we will just have to see who ends up with her. I really liked all of the guys. The fun ones and the intense ones.
Overall, this is a great first book in a new series from Debbie Cassidy that will no doubt become your new favorite of hers, just like me.
They say I’ll be able to sleep when I’m dead. The jokes on them…
The alphas expected me to be dead by now. The fact that I’m not? Well, they’re beginning to have questions.
Questions I can’t let them discover the answers to.
So I need to figure out a way to get them off my case, especially if I want any chance at uncovering the secrets of this school. The only problem? I’m beginning to think it isn’t just curiosity driving the alphas in my direction.
But they can’t actually like me? Can they?
ROYAL ALPHAS is a bully academy reverse harem romance. All the characters are over eighteen. There is swearing and sexual situations. It is also a series of "episodes," like television episodes. Each story will be short, and it will end on a cliffhanger, but the next episode will come soon after.
SAVAGE MAGIC ACADEMY:
Royal Monsters
Royal Villains
Royal Alphas
Royal Rivals ( 11/1)
Here is another gem I have come across. Once I started this series I could not stop reading. The Blurb drew me in. What a unique story. A girl that cannot die, who becomes the "whipping boy" one who will most likely die because the alpha's of different supes need to kill. But they each did not expect to find one like Cat. She is a tough character that does what she must to find her brother. Even enter into a contract with the devil to find him. Little does she know as well that these Alphas twist her just as much as she twists them.
So this series is different in that we only get so many chapters per episodes. So if you do not like to wait, and only like to read books like this when they are completed, than I would suggest you wait. I do not mind getting small pieces of the book if it is good, and let me tell you. This series is good. It is unique in the plot. Cat, the female lead is such a strong girl, doing what she can. I love her spunk and her determination. She knows pain is coming and does it anyway. The Alpha's, are exactly what they sound like. They are dominant in everyway. Their beasts take over, but with Cat it is different. We learn more about them as the series goes on, with pieces of the puzzle coming together slowly.
So overall, if short stories is not for you, wait until the series is complete. However if you do not mind shorts, definitely read as you go along. This series is worth the struggle!!
What’s more dangerous than dark magic?
Deadly secrets.
And The Academy of Six is hiding both within its ancient walls.
A History of Magic sends Izara on a literal trip down memory lane. She uncovers that there’s more than what the students think they know about the supernatural school in the middle of New York City. It’s mysterious past, as well as her own, are twisting together in a destructive way.
She always knew the Academy was created to stop a reckless power.
And she’s just now realizing that if her and her friends can’t contain the monster within her, history is bound to repeat itself.
This is Reverse Harem series containing M/M themes. Recommended for readers 18 and over.

ORIGINS OF THE SIX:
Academy of Six
Control of Five
Destruction of Two (9/30)
Thanks to a good tip, I read Academy of Six, and then Control of Five. I have to pass along how amazing I found this series. I was hooked from the beginning with Izara and her guys. She is a strong female lead, that is thrust into this school, and it is dangerous. As we find out in book one, she has had to enlist the help of the school's baddies Saint, Phoenix, Syko, and Malek. These are a mix of supernaturals that call to Izara. And she in turn calls to them. Their push and pull, love and hate, and chemistry has kept me coming back. There is some m/m scenes, I am not a huge fan of them, but these are well done. I like how they have been together for along time, but both want Izara, which fuels their passion. You actually feel their bond and that projects to include her, and to me it flows perfectly with their attraction/chemistry with one another.
And the sex scenes, wow, are so freaking hot!! You will need to be reading these scenes alone, while you fan your self, they are so hot!!
The plot itself is a nice twist, the pace of the story is fast, and the characters are funny, sexy, and determined. For once the guys set their sights on Izara, she really did not have a chance. There may be some bumps in the road, but nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.
I would definitely recommend reading the series in order, so that way you can understand the plot and struggles of the characters. Also we have a huge cliffy, one that left me saying noooooooooo!! I really need book three now!! Good thing we do not have that long of a wait.
They saved her life. Can she save theirs?
My boys saved me from a deadly attack by enemy dragons, but that doesn’t mean we’re out of danger. Not by a long shot.
For the last five years, I hated them, but I’ve learned to trust them. And not just with my life, but with my heart as well. I don’t understand how I can be so drawn to each of them equally, but whenever we’re together I feel so…complete.
It’s a mystery.
As is why a rogue dragon from Romania wants to kill me. At first I think he’s simply crazy, but when I learn the truth about his identity, it’s me who wants to kill him.
Bummer that he’s an all-powerful dragon and I’m just a measly human.
But as my connection with my boys deepens, my dragon keeper powers grow. Will it be enough to save myself and those I love?
THE HEAT OF THE DRAGON'S HEART:
The Glow of the Dragon's Heart ( Prequel)
The Spark of the Dragon's Heart
The Heat of the Dragon's Heart
The Flame of the Dragon's Heart (8/29)
The Fire of the Dragon's Heart (9/19)
The Blaze of the Dragon's Heart ( 10/10)
The Heat of the Dragon's Heart picks up where TSOFDH leaves off. Favor and the guys are trying to figure out who all the bad guys are. What do they want, and what are they. Things are like a puzzle piece that they are trying to put together and it is coming along slowly. Where the first book things are on a slower romance pace, book two, picks that up a notch.
We get to see Favor expand on her relationship with each of the guys. Each one is different and they each compliment her for the better. And as a whole dynamic, they are growing closer, as well as working as a team. They communicate well, and make a great investigative team, especially with how witty they all are.
Book two is mostly the unit coming together to work and find out what is happening. We get some relationship next level, and we find out more about the bad guy. We have a twist or two thrown in to make a very well done second installment to this series. If you like Dragons and a great story, you will not go wrong with this one. I would highly recommend The Heat of the Dragon's Heart.
Demons exist. So, why shouldn't zombies?
They're fucking creepy as hell for one. For two, the damn things are attacking people in order to draw Kara out.
A month ago Kara's life was, for the most part, pretty normal. Annoying ex, awesome best friend, asshole parents. She was just a normal teenager with an attitude problem (what teenager isn't?). Only shortly after nearly becoming a demon sacrifice, and with the help of her new demon boyfriends she finds out that she's not at all what she thought. She's more. She's special. And being special sure as shit isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Because, now there's a zombie army being made and they're coming for her.
EVIL IN LOVE:
Trust The Dark
Fear The Dead
Book Three coming soon
If you have read Trust the Dark then you know all about Kara and almost getting sacrificed. You also know about the sinfully sexy demons that become a part of her life. So in FTD, which is a short read, we see Kara and the guys just trying to figure things out. When 7, sixteen and seventeen year olds go missing, it pipes the interest for Kara, Elijah, Jesse, and Vance to get to the bottom of what is happening. Who is taking the missing kids? What are they doing to them? You will find out that and more. We have a little surprise at the end on who was behind it, and with the cliffhanger, really needing to find out what happens for book three.
I really enjoyed Fear The Dead. It is a short read, but packed with lots of goodness. Kara is a fun female lead. She is just so funny and snarky. Her personality cracks me up. The guys, with their different personalities, have great chemistry with Kara. They all together have a great dynamic. We get to know more about Kara and her being the key. So overall this is a great addition to the Evil In Love series. If you like demons and a good mystery this series will be a must read.
Rich boys don't fraternize with the help.
They don't care about the help.
They don't protect the help.
I should've remembered those lessons before I handed over my trust to four gorgeous, domineering boys.
But I didn't.
And now, I'm not the only one who's been hurt.
Someone out there is toying with me and my family, and I don't know who to turn to or who to trust.
I never wanted to play this game. But since the pieces are already on the board...
I'm sure as fuck gonna play to win.
***AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Lie is a reverse harem high school bully romance, the second book in the Kings of Linwood Academy trilogy. It contains cursing and sexual situations.
KINGS OF LINWOOD ACADEMY:
The Help
The Lie
The Risk ( 10/21)
I am absolutely loving this series. If you thought that book one, The Help, was good. Wait til you read The Lie. Which was previously named The Game. As you know so much happens in The Help. We meet our lead characters Harlow, Lincoln, River, Dax and Chase. And you are going to love Harlow as a female lead. She is strong, smart, funny and loyal. The guys, you will hate to love them, and then if you're like me, just love them. And then maybe hate them again.
In The Lie, we pick up where book one left off. That was a big cliffy so I was anxious to see what happens. I was not disappointed. The start of The Lie has Harlow very upset with the guys. The question is how can they possibly win her back. You definitely have to see why they did what they did. Which I have to say, I was like why didn't I see that? The story itself is full of suspense. How can Harlow find out who is framing her mom, to who could possible by the killer. We get a surprise suspect, which I could totally see as the bad guy. Well done Callie on throwing us for loops. The guys are back in full force here. I have to say that poker game was smoking hot!! Prepare yourself!! There is a cliffhanger, but in my opinion leads into book three The Risk, nicely!
The Collectors may have written the rules, but I’m changing the game.
After almost losing myself to hatred, it's time to shift my priorities. Fighting the Collectors has resulted in nothing but death and destruction, and the cycle has to stop.
With Geppetto and his minions breathing down my neck, my options are limited—join them or run.
So I'll do what I have to, but I'll do it on my terms.
If only I wasn't facing more questions than answers. I don't know what's going on with my psychic abilities or magic. The events surrounding my mother's death are still in question, and I have no idea how to maneuver my relationships with Stowe, Noah, Jameson, and Mason.
My name is Adele Rose, and I promise things will be different this time.
THE COLLECTORS:
Touch of Regret
Touch of Wrath
Touch of Promise
Touch of Fate ( Fall 2019)
Okay, where to begin. If you are familiar with Autumn Reed, you know she is talented. If you are not, I am here to tell you she is a great writer that knows her business. She has a way of making the reader anticipate what is to come. She hooks us with a great storyline and then delivers.
In the two previous books I feel like we have been getting to know the characters and the threat to them and a good pace to the story. Here in Touch of Promise, I feel like things are starting to fit together. Pieces are being moved and put into place. Everything is moving forward at a faster pace, after all we only have one more book left in the series.
We have where finally Adele and I are on the same page relationship wise. I understand why she kept resisting so long, but really, I honestly would have given in a long time ago. The group is meshing well together, and we do see some movement on the Jameson. Good or bad you will have to see.
Overall this series has amped up, we get more movement on the good and bad front. While Adele is moving forward, so is Geppetto. Just hang on, you are in for a ride with this one.
All Olivia Stone ever wanted is control over her own destiny.

Thrust into an unfamiliar and frightening world full of magic, she must put her fears aside and place all her faith in a group of strangers.

Especially when the worst of it comes from within.
The Entwined: Book One
THE ENTWINED:
Bitter Thorns
I was just scrolling through the new releases and stumbled upon Bitter Thorns. Oh man, I loved it. Everything from the main female lead, although there was some times I got somewhat impatient with her, to the guys. I loved every single one. And what can I say, sets of twins!!! Yes, Twin sets in the Harem!!
Okay, the main female lead is Livvy. She had been in the foster care system with her twin brother Vian. But because of past manipulation they were separated. Now with her best friend and fellow foster, Liv is finally reunited one day with her brother. But things are not as they seem. For Liv is special, even among her new found friends. But danger follows her to her new haven. Will she ever be able to escape it? And will she be able to deal with all that she has learned, about who and what she is? Is it okay to be crushing on your brothers 5 friends, friends who make her feel things she shouldn't.
As I said, I was blown away by this new world that Chrissy has created. How imaginative it is. There was a few times I did not know what I was reading, I got confused, but I seem to just be following Liv's responses anyway. So when she would comment "Explain" I had a feeling it wasn't just for her. Her relationship with her brother is so freaking sweet, i love when we get overprotective siblings. She is a strong female lead, that yes has had some abuse in her past, so if you are sensitive , beware. It is referenced as well as a scene that may cause a trigger.
The guys, wow, where do I begin on them. They each have their own personalities, and yes we do also have the jerk of the group. You will definitely find who it is very easily. But all hope is not lost, I liked him just as much as the others by the ending. Liam, Flynn, Kieran, Ben, and Lucien. You will get to know each one, how they are with Liv, and you will fall for them as well.
The story itself flows pretty quick, a few times difficult to follow everything happening. The characters are very interesting and have lots of chemistry. I found myself laughing out loud lots of times. Overall, I really enjoyed this start to a new series. And I cannot wait for more.
A long time ago, I was one of them.
Now I’m back, and they hate me for it.
Plucked out of the harsh life I was living and thrust into a world of unimaginable wealth, power, and privilege, all I want to do is keep my head down and survive until graduation.
But they have other plans—Mason, Finn, Elijah, and Cole.
Everyone at my new school calls them the Princes, and that’s exactly what they act like. They always get what they want… and who they want.
And they want me.
I’m not sure why, since they all seem to hate me.
The Princes are gorgeous, flawless, and cruel. They own this town, and they’re determined to own me too.
To break me.
What they don’t know is that I’ve already been broken once.
I won’t let it happen again.
BOYS OF OAK PARK PREP:
Savage Royals ( 5/20 )
Savage Princess ( 7/22 )
I am super into Bully Romance right now, and guys this right here is it! I am telling you, if you are looking for a good BR, definitely give this a read. There will be some triggers if you are sensitive to them, be warned. I did not have any problems, but I enjoy dark reads. Callie Rose did an excellent job of introducing us to the characters and the plot.
We have our main female lead Talia who, just lost her no good father and is forced to live with her grandparents she knew nothing about. She just wants to keep her head down and make it through so she can leave on her own when she turns 18. Enter the school bullies Mason, Finn, Elijah and Cole. And let me tell you these boys can get mean. But when you get on their side, you can feel like a queen.
They make it their mission to make sure Talia is run off, for they make it very clear that they do not want her there. Life is hell for her, everyone is out to get her. Until suddenly they are not. Could they possibly let her into their exclusive group? I do not want to give any spoilers out, but I will say this is not your typical BR. You will root for Talia, and how she evolves, adapts to what happens to her. The guys, you will go back and forth from loving to hating. There is a big cliffhanger that will lead into book two Savage Princess, and can I just say that I am really going to need this book. Because I have to know what happens next. Your emotions will be all over the place, so just be prepared for the ride. You will come to understand why the title is called Savage Royals. And that they will either break you, or make you stronger.
Scoring a coaching job with the Rebels was supposed to be a dream come true, a step toward achieving my goal of being the first female NFL head coach. But when three sexy-as-hell players blitzed their way into my life, I got distracted. I took my eye off the ball. And I’m at risk of losing it all, even the sport I love.
Now, the one thing that’s kept me grounded, kept me focused, is the last thing that could possibly bring me comfort. Because when it comes to Xavier, Colt, and Tristan, the lines are blurred. The rules—questioned.
I may be their coach on the field, but in matters of the heart, I’m playing defense.
**Playing Defense is the second book in a slow-burn reverse harem series.**
THE REBELS:
The Reverse Play ( book 1 )
Playing Defense ( book 2 ) April 23
Okay, I really enjoyed book one. But you know that usually book one introduces characters and its the get to know you stage. Book two, gets that all out of the way and now we are in the beginning of the really meaty part of the story. Can they get past their issues? Will Blake hold off longer? I have to say I give mad props for Blake for holding out with the guys. I would have probably gave in and indulged in some sexy time right off the bat. Those guys are hot!!
Playing Defense picks up where book one leaves off. Blake is dealing with everything from the fight. She is trying to do so much, she is such a strong willed character. She knows her stuff and it is nice to see her get her due. She works hard. This is a slow burn Rh so don't expect a lot of things. I will say this though, the sexual tension is off the charts. And that ending leaves off on a cliffhanger, but not a big one. It will just leave you with wanting to see what happens next.
As kids, they were inseparable. When tragedy struck and circumstances pulled them apart, Senya lost everyone who ever cared about her.
A group project brings the four guys and Senya together one last time, but it's clear they're not kids anymore...and it changes everything. Can she forgive them? Can they find what they've lost? When tragedy strikes again, will it ruin everything?
This is a full-length, standalone, young adult / new adult, reverse harem, contemporary story about love lost and found. Mature language, subject matter, and scenes. Trigger warning - one scene involving domestic violence, talks about past abuse.
Growing up Senya was very close with four boys. Where one was, the others were sure to be. But a tragedy happened. Ripping away her world. Fast forward to senior year. A class that they all wanted to take. When they are all reunited for the class project, can Senya forgive them? Will things pick back up where they left off? Or has the damage been done, and too much time has gone by.
I have been looking forward to this story ever since I first came across it, and I can tell you I was not disappointed. Senya and her boys, Orion, Aric, Manny, and Apollo, all have such a tense relationship in the beginning. You can see how close they were, and how drifting apart because of the tragedy really hurt all of them. I do not want to give any spoilers, or reveal what said tragedy was, but I can tell you that at such a young age it would devastate someone. And poor Senya had to do it alone. I could understand her anger, her resentment to the guys. As the story goes on, we get to learn about what happened, and realize how things could have been different. But we know life happens and things do not always go the way we plan or want. The guys all have different personalities. Honestly I really couldn't choose a specific one I liked. They all had huge qualities I look for in my leading men. I also really enjoyed the multiple POV, so we got to see what the guys felt and background into how they deal with things. That ending was so good! It left me with a smile on my face.
Humans weren’t meant to live underground, but then artificial intelligences weren’t meant to feed off souls. Shit happens.
Being a Potential is an honor. It qualifies me for the mandatory Run, the chance to become a Guardian and wield one of the only weapons that can disable a Genesis scout. It also means I’ll have to leave the safety of my underground home and go topside, where the possibility of death goes up by eighty percent.
Badges of honor mean nothing if you’re dead.
I’d rather steer clear of any place where soul sucking AI roam. I’d rather stay safe in the Hive and hangout with my wolf-shifter co-worker. I’d rather work on the mechanical heart that keeps the Hive running and spend time with my enigmatic nephilim mentor. Heck, I’d rather be doing anything else. But I’ve made a promise to my best friend, a promise to get her to the finish line in time to win a spot as Guardian. How hard can it be, right? We have a plan. So why do I feel as if something is about to go seriously wrong?
It’s a game. Just a game.
Or is it?
CHRONICLES OF DEADWORLD:
Deadworld (Book 1 ) - April 23
Dead City (Book 2 ) May 28th
Dead Sea (Book 3 ) July 2nd
I have said it before and I will say it again. I love this author. What she can come up with in creating these worlds that draw you in, she is one of my favorite authors that I love everything she creates. And Deadworld is no different.
She has created in the Chronicles of Deadworld a post apocalyptic scene 100 years into the future. In this future, life has been forced to live underground. But if you are brave enough, strong enough you can be known as a Guardian. Who watch over from above those below. Here we have Echo, who has known since birth that she is a potential. She can follow in her father's footsteps too because he is a Guardian. But she does not want this, she wants to stay underground, in her hive. Where it is safe, and she can stay around her family and friends. Her job she loves. Upside is danger with monsters and the AI. But fate is a fickle little thing, and Echo is about to find out what she has in store for her.
I absolutely loved this. The Chronicles of Midnight and the Chronicles of Arcana set the back drop for this world. You do not have to have read these, although I highly recommend, to understand this new series. I love it when series connect, and this one does it perfectly. The main character Echo is awesome as a lead. She has a lot of struggles to work through, a lot of fears. I cannot wait to see her grow as a character. We get to meet her future love interests, and I approve. Having said that I enjoyed this beginning of this series and I cannot wait for more! An extra bonus is that they will be coming not far from now.
