It's a...Reverse Harem
I survived my first semester at the Academy of Unpredictable Magic. Apparently, the universe took that as a challenge…
For years, Unpredictables have been brushed aside by the rest of the magical community. Now people are starting to pay attention—and I’m not entirely sure that’s a good thing.
I’ve always been content to fly under the radar, but now that we’ve been invited to participate in the Inter-academy Trials, the entire school will be in the spotlight.
As if trying to sort out my feelings for the four insanely gorgeous men who all want to date me wasn’t enough, now I’m juggling magical games, deadly plots, unexpected allies, and notoriety I never asked for.
All right, second semester. Do your worst.
Trials is the second book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series, a medium-burn reverse harem story intended for ages 18+, featuring a badass chick and the four sexy men who fall in love with her.
Well, alrighty then.
This book jumps right into the good stuff.
(I'm talking STEAMY)
Book two picks up after the break.
Elliot is still struggling with her magic.
Maybe even more so because of the pressure she feels building on her shoulders.
But she wants to prove everyone wrong.
The other magic community. Her peers. Even herself.
She wants to show everyone that she doesn't back down easily from a fight.
When she is picked to compete in the Inter-academy Trials, things come undone in more than one way.
Some good. Some not so good.
Elliot is a pretty great character, though her insecurity at times can be on the annoying side.
I still love her though.
And she is working on her ability to open up to the guys.
As well as her fear of everyone abandoning her.
I think she still has a ways to grow but we see her dropping those shields several times throughout the book.
Roman, I think, has made the most progress with her.
Mainly because he has known her a little longer.
And she has already opened up to him a bit by being intimate.
Cam and Asher are also making a dent.
We finally get to see some action with these two.
And let me tell you, its H-O-T.
Dmitri, he is my favorite. Mostly because of his growliness.
I really can't wait for him and Elliot to come together.
I have a feeling it will be explosive.
This is a fantastic read.
I can't wait to see what happens next.
Luckily, we don't have too much longer to wait for book three.
Because the ending on this? Hey, not happy about that.
You can't leave me hanging like this Sadie.
Come check out this awesome series if you haven't already.
Book Three, Thief, release June 27th.
