Overview:
I'm sure it won't surprise anyone to know this second book is another fantastic release from Kristen Banet. The first book was a slow build on the steamy scenes but I promise anyone who wanted more steam will get the steam, the smoke and plenty of fire. 😋
So while I'm totally in love with Riley and her men I believe supporting cast take good books to great books. Sheriff who we are briefly introduced to in Wild Pride plays a stronger role in this book. A common trait for most bear shifters in literature is they are really big ole teddy bears who can be over protective, sometimes grouchy but still lovable. Sheriff does not disappoint but the sweet man is a tad naive to the relationship dynamics in the group and no one really cares to be the one to clue him in. Will he find out and what kind of fall out will come from such a revelation?
The big challenge the pride will face is learning that Riley isn't a junior member of the pride. She wants to be treated like a capable feline shifter who is perfectly able to handle herself. I mean she stuck a knife in that one dude no problem in her kitchen in Wild Pride, don't they get she is able and willing? I have faith in our girl though, she will do what she needs to in order to protect herself and her men.
