The Bridge Over Snake Creek, (The Lydents' Curse)
Nikki Bolvair
Goodreads, Amazon
It's a...Reverse Harem
Thrill-seeker, and terminally ill by default, all Hannah wanted was for her life to go back to the way it was before. But that dream was like grasping water in a closed fist. A dream, one she could never hold on to... If someone told her in the beginning the way things would end, she would’ve gladly let historical secrets remain hidden. But curiosity was a cruel and vicious nag. Once the magic was out, there was no putting it back. Falls, Idaho was different. Strange. Just like the five guys who made it their mission to keep her daring ways to a minimum. They never wanted her to know who they really were, but they couldn’t help themselves. Sometimes, fate could play an unforgiving game. Things were not as they seemed, and the big picture started to unravel. Her sickness, there was a cure. Welcome to Falls.

Hidden Light
The Bridge Over Snake Creek 3/23

Hannah had a hard time after loosing her mother. One wild night and her life changed forever. She was sick and there was no cure. There was one thing that helped her though. That rush that you got when you risked your life. The one moment in time where all the pain faded away. Her best friend kept her in check, kept her from doing too much. What would happen when she moved away though? New town, new adventures. New friends? Hannah doesn't get much of a choice on the last one once she meets the guys. They seem to want to protect her from herself. They never imagined the adventure it would take them all on. The secrets that would come out. The sacrifices that would have to be made.

So, I'm sure you have all heard me say at least once by now, this is my absolute FAVORITE Nikki book. I might take it a little personally b/c being on the beta team, there was a bit of a fight for the characters in this book. I can't say too much b/c spoilers and all but, Nikki was being very mean and we fought her really hard. I can't tell you who won, only that there was a very intense battle. You just have to read and find out. These characters all hold a dear place in my heart. That's not the only reason though. These characters are so alive, so full of strength and determination, they stick with you.

While this is the second book in The Lydents' Curse series, you do not have to have read the first book. I recommend you do b/c it was a great story. You do see the characters again in the second book but Snake Creek focuses on a different set of people.

Hannah may be terminally ill but she has a ton of life inside of her. She's spunky and funny and you can't help but love her. This group of guys is one of my all time favorites. They are there for her when she needs them, no matter what it takes. Even if they are stupid sometimes. *cough* Snowden *cough*. There is a ton of action going on in this book. I'm not a rereader of books but even on my second read through I was hooked on every word, waiting for what was about to happen. Biting my nails to see what Nikki was going to do to our beloved characters!

If you love Nikki's books, have never read Nikki's books or even if you have thought her past books weren't for you, READ THIS BOOK. Oh and this book is YA so those of you who want more focus on building the relationships than jumping into the sack, this one is for you. That's not to say that we don't get a little up close and personal though.

Make sure you join Nikki's FB group here to keep up with her.
