Debbie Cassidy is my go to urban fantasy author, and with this new series For The Blood, she has created a whole new obsession for me. I loved the story from the beginning.
We have our female lead named Eva, she is on the run with Tobias, her sidekick since childhood in a post apocalyptic world of monsters, The Feral Claws. But those are not the only monsters in their world. Everyday they have to fight for everything. Never knowing if they will survive to see the next day, but at least they have each other. On a mission to reach coordinates her father had drilled into her was the key to survival. Now Eva and Tobias are so very close to their goal, finally finding out what answers Haven hold and well as this mysterious Benedict hold. But you know the saying so close yet so far away, yeah well that rings true. Close to their destination they run into trouble, they get separated, and Eva finds herself in the hands of a very different kind of monsters. Ones who will help her but at the price of her blood.
Guys I just loved this so much!! Action from the start, characters that I grew attached to quickly, and a plot line that is different and addictive. Our main character Eva is tough, she had to be to live in this world. Her father grooming her to be a survivor, a fighter, and hopefully their salvation. Tobias, her sidekick and maybe just a little more. He grew up with her, training along with her. These two have a bond that I am rooting for. And then we have said new monsters, Noah, Ash, Logan and Jace. I really enjoyed this dynamic. Alpha men, not really men, and they crave one thing. Eva and her blood. But is she more than just a meal, can there be anything to the attraction they feel for her? A deal is struck: they will help her, if she helps them. Now the race is on to save Tobias, but will Eva sacrifice everything, including herself to save him? Find out in this new addicting series!!!
