Huntress, (Trials of the Gods)
LJ Swallow and Angel Lawson
Goodreads/a>, Amazon
It's a...Reverse Harem

In a world where the gods live together in one society, a revolution is coming -- led by the goddess Artemis and the four gods who are her allies and protectors.

Artemis is pulled from her simple life in the forest, where her father Zeus hid her to shield her from a dangerous society and taken to the Academy of the Gods. The strongest god in the Academy, Apollo is dead taking with him any hope for a new future. Artemis must take her brother's place in the Trials of the Gods, a series of challenges designed to either prove her strength or determine her failure. The winner of the Trials will lead the Academy towards a new future. Can Artemis win the Trials and fulfill her brother's plans to bring equality to all gods and goddesses? Dealing with her new life and role is challenging enough without the distraction of the gods she must ally with: Thor, Loki, Dionysus, and Triton. Romance is the last thing on her mind, but the closer the five work as a team, the harder it is to resist. Not everybody supported Apollo's desire to begin a revolution. His plan to create equality for the goddesses in a world where they're inferior could be the reason for his death. Can Artemis also bring Apollo's killers to justice? Or will those behind his murder succeed in stopping the revolution Apollo planned?

Trials of the Gods:
Huntress
Book Two coming soon

Fans of LJ's will love this so much.  I have never read Angel Lawson, but will be changing that after today.   These two together are gold!!!!!  We start off the story with Artemis, where she has just been summoned to the Academy of the Gods.  Her twin brother Apollo has been killed and it is up to her to take his spot.  There she encounters dangers all around.  Why was her brother murdered? Who can she trust?  Is her life now in danger as well?   She knows that her brother was trying to win the Trials so that he could be leader of the Academy and make change happen.  Change that some people will kill to make sure does not.  She takes a chance and aligns herself with her brothers best friends Thor, Loki, Triton and Dion.  Not expecting to feel something more than friendship with all four.  It's not like she has enough on her plate with the Trials and the games that the gods play, not to mention four hot gods who are just as equally attracted to her as she is to them.  But can she trust them?

Oh man Artemis is just such a fun, kick a@@ character, that yeah can use some help but by is no means weak.  She is having to deal with the death of her brother, which she has always wanted a relationship with but never got to know.  I really felt her sadness and heartache of now never getting to know him. But the unexpected gift she is given, helps eases the ache some.  When she gets to the Academy  she has to figure out who can she trust, what the trials are and how to beat them, as well as figure out who killed her brother.  I really liked Apollo's friends, with Thor and Triton leading the pack.  Each one has their own personalities that are different and I honestly liked each one. Although I will say Dion is going to have to grow on me some more, there is just something off about him.  The guys don't know what to make of her, or that she can even succeed where her brother fell.  But they will help her however they can. There is not so much action, as there is setting up the story and introducing the characters, she does go through her first trial, which I found was exactly what I thought it would be from the gods. It messed with her head and was tricky.  She is such a strong and fun character, I am going to enjoy this series so much.  Would I recommend Huntress?  Hell yes!! This is going to be a good one guys!!
