G. Bailey

It's a...Reverse Harem

Thief. Runaway. Assassin. What happens when your rumoured name destroys your life? When the very runes engraved on your skin since birth, are a death sentence? Evie doesn't remember a life before she was on the streets, a life before thieving to live and killing to stay alive. When a royal family she didn't know anything about go missing, Evie finds herself thrown into the royal court of the protectors, and they demand her help. Help in exchange for a chance at freedom and the name that's haunted her, forgotten. A name she can’t even read, a name she doesn’t understand. But when three Royal protectors are tasked with helping her, her demon ex who is literally from hell, stalking her...will Evie ever be free?

A Demon's Fall:
Runes of Truth
Runes of Mortality (July 9th)

Evie is a number of things thief , feared assassin, protector, and a little bit of a bada@@ if you ask her.  She has always been hunted, by her own kind, The Protectors.  Hunted for the runes on her body which marks her name, at least that is what she has been told.  She cannot read runes.  All her life she has lived on the streets, fighting to stay alive, along with the woman who saved her and became her best friend.  When her friend was killed, leaving behind something so very precious. Something Evie would kill to protect.  Her name is Hali, and Evie is teaching her to be strong and to survive,  just like her mother did for her.  Little did they expect Hali to be used as a pawn to get Evie to take on a mission. Help 3 protectors journey to hell in order to find three princesses, where one will become Queen.  It is up to Evie to journey to hell to rescue the Princesses, save Hali, not fall for the three protectors who will be going with her. Oh and try not to fall for the a@@hole ex, a demon who will be helping them enter hell.  Let the games begin.

If you love a good G. Bailey read, then Runes of Truth does not disappoint. I really enjoy reading about demons in a story, and was so excited to read Gem's take on them.  I have a feeling this series is going to be my favorite of hers. I know I say this each time she comes out with a new series, but its almost like each series just keeps getting better and better.  We have our lead Evie, she is a protector, and something else.  She is a strong character, after all when you have to kill to survive at a young age, you do what needs to be done.  She is loyal, funny, and can flirt with the best of them. It has become second nature to her to kill, but a lot of people just think she is a killer. But she has rules, like don't try to kill her and she wont kill you! Her world is her friends daughter Hali. She is like a miniature tough version of herself, and her only weakness.  The guys are all hot, some you will like instantly and some will grow on you. Azi the demon ex, who things went bad three years ago she literally sent him back to hell. And oh yeah he thinks that she is his.  Trex, he is rough around the edges, clashes with Evie on just about everything, and oh yeah one of the princesses is his fiancé.  His brother Nix, I really liked him.  He had a funloving, easy going attitude that you know can show you a good time.  Connor, he is funny, hot and not afraid to let you know that he wants you.  Overall Runes of Truth is a great start to a series that I cannot wait to see where it leads, and just what exactly is the other that Evie is?!
