Ariana does not have to wonder what the sexy guys of The Sound of Us are really like. Or wonder how each one is different in the way they kiss, hold you, and love you. She already knows. And it was her choice to leave them when they made it big. They wanted to take her with them. But there is a big secret that Ariana has as to why she didn't. Years later, they come back. But she is living a life that nightmares are made of. She has a monster of her very own. Wishing to see them one more time, she takes a chance that they haven't forgotten about her. But will she find that they have moved on? Or will she discover that they have missed her every single day and want her back?
Okay guys, I really enjoyed the Fated Wings series, as well as the Lamented Pasts, but I think that this is going to be my favorite out of them all. It is contemporary, and of course we have hot rock stars, and a female lead that has secrets. First of all Ariana has a secret that caused her not to follow the guys, which we do not find out yet. She is in an abusive marriage, which granted he cheats on her in the marriage, I do not generally read books with cheating, but with all that was going on it was such a small part. And I will admit the female lead I wanted to smack for not saying something sooner about an issue.
We get alternating past/present, which helps us to understand them then and now. Where their anger comes from, and let me tell you, the guys are a mix of emotions and all understandable. I do not know which one I like yet the best, but there is one in the lead at this point. That being said there is a cliffhanger, a lot of questions are asked, and really no answers given. But man this is going to be a great series, it has gotten my interest as to what caused her to not meet up with the guys, what huge secret is she hiding?
Overall, there are a few things that may give you pause, but that is a small part of the story, and I am looking at the bigger picture. This is going to be her best series yet I bet!!!!
