It's a...Reverse Harem
Football is my life, and coaching in the NFL is my dream. I have a doctorate in sports psychology, but the fact that I’m a woman means I couldn’t possibly know a thing about football, let alone coaching a team. At least, that’s what my critics say. Others argue a woman on the sidelines would be a distraction.
Distraction. Pfft. I’m a professional, and I certainly don’t fall for players.
When I land my dream job coaching the Boston Rebels, I realize just how difficult it will be to maintain a hands-off approach to the team. Everything about them, from their broad shoulders and thick biceps to their chiseled abs and narrow waists, makes it so I’m the one who’s having trouble staying focused.
As if that weren’t bad enough, I’m attracted to not one, but three, players. Three offensive players who keep breaking through my defenses.
I’m their coach, but absolutely nothing in my playbook prepared me for this.

THE REBELS SERIES:
The Reverse Play
Blake Mackenzie loves football. In fact she eats, breathes and sleeps it. Her life long goal is to coach her own team. So a chance encounter helps her to achieve that dream goal of coaching the Boston Rebels. She is not afraid to fight for what she wants, and she wants to do the best job she can to prove that a temporary position can become a full time one. But that was before she started to fall for not just one of the players, but three.
First off I love Julia Clarke so, I knew coming in this was going to be good. Second Football and RH, two of some of my favorite things and BAM I am hooked.
Blake, our female lead, is smart, passionate and tough. She loves football and knows everything about it. She has a PHD in sports psychology and is very focused on her dream. With her chance encounter leading to her dream job. She went in determined to do a good job. And she does, she stays so focused. You really have to admire her tenacity and determination. I know I would have given in along the way multiple times. The guys are amazing!! Xavier is so sweet, Colt is funny and usually up to something, and then Tristan, who reminded me a lot of Blake.
Overall, The Reverse Play is a great start to this series. There is a cliffhanger, but in my opinion not a bad one. Just sets up the reader for book two.
